It’s a 5-star, especially if you go in expecting proper robust traditional French cuisine. It’s not nouvelle by any means. The squab was bold and delicious. The cod was nuanced and clever. The foie gras “experience” was just that. The recommended sauterne was a perfect pairing, and my Pessac-Léognan 2020 from Les Hauts de Smith for the squab leapt out at you! WE got lucky! We arrived with no reservations but were able to score a table for 4. I have indicated that reservations are required and if you really want to dine her, make a reservation! However we had none but they checked and were able to seat us. The dining area filled quickly after our arrival, so again, make a reservation!
