Lots of menu options and very delicious food. Got the bacon and sausage poutine which was quite good with lots of meat and cheese, not overloaded with potato like some poutine. The atmosphere was very bright and welcoming. As we were leaving later in the morning there was a line out the door so consider going before 10am or there may be a wait.

My grilled cheese was bland and I was a little confused because I ordered "La Cage aux Folles" (described on the menu like this: mushrooms and brie) and my grilled cheese clearly had cheddar cheese (orange in color). ) inside and not brie. I couldn't ask the waitress if there had been a mistake by the kitchen or afterwards, since she never came to ask us if everything was to our liking.
Also, I was a little perplexed and insulted by the fact that we were never given a glass of water and that I had to "flag" employees twice to get one... the vast majority of tables around we did not have glasses of water, I deduce that it was an administrative decision not to give them rather than oversights on the part of the employees. Very ordinary for the customer.
Otherwise, for the positive points, I liked the coffee and the tables in the restaurant are a little less "stringy" than in most lunch restaurants.
I tipped respectfully because I know the waitress is taxed on her sales and has to give a rating to the support staff, but we honestly didn't really receive any service.
Response to Business Owners: Thanks for the nice copy/paste response, but you really don't need me to fill out your form to find out how to serve me better. It's written in black and white in my review: give your customers water, don't make mistakes with the orders and come see the customers during the meal to ask them if everything is to their liking. I am reducing my rating to one star due to your response which indicates that you do not even read the comments before responding to them.

Excellent lunch and service. The decor (Beauport) is pleasant for lunch. A VERY large number of menus contain chocolate hazelnut spread. If you don't like it, take the time to read the menu so you won't be disappointed. Overall I like it and I go back regularly.

Even today the service was absolutely terrible. The restaurant closes at 3 p.m. We arrive at 2:05 p.m. We wait. It took a long time for someone to come and assign us a seat, despite many employees going to the restaurant reception. We end up being told with a stupid look “follow me.” No hello, nothing. We follow her, meanwhile she tells us we close at 3 p.m. eh. Yes, we know, there is still time. 15 minutes pass without anyone coming to offer us a drink or anything. Please note: the restaurant is not full. We ended up leaving because there was just no service, and because the employees looked stupid.
Another customer asked to speak to the manager during this time because of the lack of service.

We have currently been waiting for over 30 minutes to be seated even though there are just 2 of us and tables of 2 have been available since our arrival! The girl just never asked if there were groups of 2 in line…. It’s really shameful!

"Very good restaurant for lunch! The service is impeccable: the waitresses are very courteous and smiling. The menu offers a wide choice with really funny dish names. Despite the crowds, the service is fast, which is remarkable given the number of customers. Prices are reasonable. I opted for a poutine breakfast and it was delicious! Generous portion, I even had to leave some, which is rare for me... I'm a good eater though! My two boys loved it too. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone."
