Good bakery, but the service is not that good, I think they are understaffed. At least the croissants are excellent!

Poor customer service. I speak english and understand french. The girl in the counter was as cold as ice as soon I spoke english to her and overheard her complaining to her colleague while i’m still at the counter about me not tipping her. She also doesn’t use a gloves or just a napkin in picking up the bread! So unhygienic considering she’s receiving payment cash as well!

For a while I went there often. It's good. I find the menu small but I assume that's because it's more of a bakery than a restaurant. They also sell pizza there. I've never been there snack for example. The room is quite large so that you can feel alone in downtime (at the time I went there it wasn't very busy). I noticed that it had a room separate from other I think it's to reserve.

La PIRE fougasse que j’ai mangée. Que du pain : où étaient les olives ? Très décevant.

I waited 10 minutes, without even a hello and I still hadn't been served so I left. There were only 3 customers and lots of employees passing by without even paying attention to us…

Cappuccino served in a glass, 80% foam, 20% coffee. The place is dark, echo. Expensive. Good service.

Customer service was terribly shocking.
The server did not even speak. I was in line behind a customer who was giving their order at the counter. The girl stood behind the other employee who was taking an order for the customer in front of me and was just staring at me. Did not ask if they could take my order or even greet me in any way. She was just staring at me, so I said "oh you want my order?" From a distance because I was behind the customer in front of me who was giving their order to another employee. So, from about 5 feet away, I was having to give my order, which meant I had to speak over the customer in front of me. I asked for 2 cheese croissants and 2 plain croissants she still has not smiled or said even 1 word to me did not ask if I would like them warmed or even 1 word and I am not exaggerating. The customer in front of me was now finished at the counter, so I moved forward to the counter. She proceeded to still just glare without any words. I then asked for 2 capachino coffees, and she just pointed out her arm like a drill sargent down the counter like I should have known that drinks are ordered down the line. So I walked down in the direction that she pointed and stood there waiting and confused, and still no words had been spoken by her. After about 2 min of me standing there feeling very confused about this whole experience, she then appears, just glaring at me. I repeated 2 capachinos, please, and 1 tea. She then said first word to me and that was "what?" I repeated 1 tea please she now finally says 2 words which were "what tea?" I replied orange pekoe please she then disapears again and returns slaming a wire holder of tea boxes on the counter. After looking at the display of boxes of tea she abruptly placed in front of me , I replied, "You don't have orange pekoe?" She then says 1 word, which was "No, " and I said ok no tea, thank you. " My husband, who was at a table with my son, then approached the counter to add a slice of cake since he saw that I was now at a cash register ready to finish my order. He spoke in French and stated the name of the cake that he would like the girl now still no words just staring he then repeated his words in french again and had to actually go point at the product he order which was labled exactly as what he said. He also works in the Old City and has worked in the hotel buisness there for over 25 years so it was not a language issue it was clearly a very unhappy rude employee who has no service skills or manners. She returns with the cake and finishes adding our order. I still in shock of what I just had experienced pay my bill and go sit at a table with my 4 cold hard croissants and 2 cups of air for coffees and think to myself this is the worst experience and the worst 45 dollars I have ever spent. I was so disapointed, shocked and wanted to have delicious warm croissants but did not even want to ask if my profucts could be warmed fearing it might push this girl over the edge due to her poor attitude and service. My husband, for many years, has always told his hotel clients about this bakery and has sent thousands of customers to this location. After experiencing this treatment, he is really regretting ever recommending this bakery and hopes that the clients he did recommend this too did not receive this kind of poor treatment and uncomfortable feeling. It was a degrading and very uncomfortable feeling I am still in shock.
My best advice to anyone that goes there is be prepared to feel like you are bothering them and never try to ask for your drinks at the same time as you ask for your food or you may be given the arm point like "you shoud have known the layout of the ordering process". Also don't be surprised if the server does not say more then 3 words during the whole interaction and seems to struggle with not only understanding English but also confused about understanding French due to being so caught up in their rudeness and 3 word inter

Bawdy, you are losing your feathers! The service is correct, the coffee eclair good; the croissant ok. But the coffee was undrinkable. I had an Americano that tasted like coffee that had been sitting in a flint for a long time.
House Smith is overtaking you. Also, it was noisy.; yet not many customers. These are the employees who worked “hard”
