Pretty expensive for a sandwich. The taste was pretty good. I recommend it but the price is a little bit high
The croissant was actually good, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience. The staff were rude, shouting, and had a very bad attitude toward customers. If you are not speaking French, you are very likely to face rude behavior, which made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Good food does not make up for poor service. I would not return unless the staff’s attitude seriously improves.
One of the staff members had a poor attitude, and the almond croissant was disappointing.
Customer Service Like a Prison
Even though this is a tourist area—where most customers are first-time visitors—the system in the restaurant was unnecessarily complicated, and the staff were unbelievably irritable and unhelpful.
When I first spoke to a staff member, I honestly started to wonder if I had walked into a prison by mistake instead of a bakery. The tone was lecturing and authoritarian—like a prison guard.
I ordered the Caesar chicken salad. The bread was cold, the salad was shockingly salty, and there were hardly any vegetables. I was genuinely surprised. If someone ate this menu every day, I’d worry they’d die young.
My daughter and I had planned a special breakfast in Québec City—“Let’s have something delicious!”—so we chose this place because the reviews were excellent. I regret it from the bottom of my heart. Now I understand why the restaurant was empty.
Every single item we bought tasted delicious! Mushroom soup was the best mushroom soup I have ever tasted in my life!
Service is exelent, lady on register was superfriendly. Great atmosphere. Thank you!
If you like eclairs, be sure to get it here
Great deserts and amazing vibe!
Family friendly. Touristy but not too bad
During my visit to Quebec, I had the opportunity to visit this bakery with my wife and we had a very pleasant experience in terms of the service and the exquisite variety of breads.
Hot chocolate was 11/10 on a cold evening. Rich and not too sweet
Restaurantji Recommends
The pastries look good but aren’t. I’ve seen others say they were old and chewy and I agree 100%. The almond croissant was inedible and the chocolate one chewy with hard chocolate.
First time we have thrown pastries away.
Service very slow. Innefective processes behind counter. I felt bad for the staff. Coffee is not real espresso...
The pastry is not authentic French pastry. I had a chausson aux pommes and I would have bought the same one at Walmart. Very disappointing
Visiting Quebec City old town, had two breakfasts here. Wonderful staff, very welcoming to tourists. No trouble whatsoever working in English with the little pointing and some smiles. Highly recommended. Food really good, only comment croissants were a little flat from having other things piled on top of them.
