The place is really cute!!! Retro style that I love!!! The poutine was really good!!! I really liked my hamburger, my daughter and my boyfriend also liked theirs, but we all agreed that it was the poutine that was worth it! We wouldn't particularly make the detour to go back, but being in the area, we could go back just for the poutine!

Without having been there for years, I returned there 3 times in a month this summer. I found this retro atmosphere which is nostalgic for me and the quality of the food at a good price. Small suggestion and point to improve during one of my last 2 meals the fries were unfortunately not cooked enough, to be monitored..... The young people who welcome us are really very pleasant and helpful. Well done !

Ce n'est plus ce que c'était... Un casse-croûte qui sert des frites d'aussi mauvaise qualité ne devrait pas s'appeler Casse-Croute. Les burgers étaient secs et sans saveurs. La poutine était digne d'une poutine surgelée. À ce prix-là, avec une aussi prestigieuse réputation, c'est gênant. 😬

Pat Retro. Open since 1983, Céline Dion and her late husband René Angelile used to come here all the time when they were in town. Consider it a pilgrimage trip.
The poutine here is great: The fries are made from fresh potatoes in house. The squeeky cheese curds are fresh, abundant and in big chunks that won’t melt when you top it off with the delicious gravy. I love this poutine, especially paired with a club sandwich and their in house mayonnaise.
It’s in the neighbourhood of Sillery, 20 minutes from the historic center. But this is a historic institution with great food that if definitely a local secret.
100% Underrated.

After more than 30 years of eating there, I had the brilliant idea of going to try it with my son yesterday. I was very disappointed by the quality of their poutine. Average tasting fries, bbq sauce lacking in taste, very little cheese and a few pieces of sausage. Price comparable to elsewhere. Not worth the detour, sorry ?

It is therefore sometimes necessary to wait a few minutes to have freshly prepared dishes. This Quebec institution does not deserve certain comments! For these people, McDonald's with its frozen industrial fries is perhaps more appropriate.
