This is the best French food in Quebec. Feels like home and the food is by far much better than any of the mainstream places in Quebec. This is a way of getting transported to France and enjoy it for real. Our kids felt most welcome and we had most amazing food experience while they enjoyed the buffet. This place made a ride from Washington DC well worth it.

Went for Sunday brunch and it was awesome - amazing food (the blood sausages, rillette, French toast, and BUTTER were off the charts good) in a cozy atmosphere. I will definitely come again next time I’m in Quebec City!

My partner and I went there for the buffet brunch on a Thursday morning, in October 2023. For the entire duration of our visit, approximately 1.5 hours, we were the only customers in the place, which, in normal times, would be could be appreciated as a VIP atmosphere. That said, we didn't really like either the food or the atmosphere... a matter of taste (explaining why the ratings are not particularly negative). On the other hand, at the service level, a situation deeply insulted us as it rarely happens to us, which I explain below. As we already knew we wanted the buffet brunch when we arrived, the waiter did not give us a menu. At a certain point, I ask if yogurt, labeled at $6 from memory, is included in the buffet: the waiter confirms that yes and humorously refers to waiters in restaurants in Italy who, according to him, would offer plenty of options to be able to add extras to the bill... On the other hand, when later offering us filter coffees, he neglected to tell us that these were NOT included in the buffet. Those who read my comment will certainly be of the opinion that it is common and implied in lunch restaurants that filter coffee is included with the meal. In the rare restaurants where this is not the case, we generally ensure that customers are duly notified. However, without having been able to read it on the menu and without warning from the waiter, we were insulted by being charged more than $10 for 3 coffees, especially after his joke about Italian restaurants... We had the the impression of having been fooled, the waiter having taken advantage of the ambiguity of the situation.

We LOVED our meal at Pied Bleu. The cheese and charcuterie are "off the charts" good, the trio of salads were fresh and perfectly flavored, and I'll never forget the tartiflette. But the best part about this spot is the atmosphere and service. Very much a neighborhood spot - excellent enough to draw in visitors but homey enough for the locals, of which there were many. Fabrice was a hilarious delight, keeping us laughing and our glasses topped up with the best red wine. It felt more like dining at the home of an old friend - one you want to keep going back to, again and again. Unpretentious, high quality food. Go!

I went alone for the brunch buffet on a Saturday. I stayed there for two hours so I could read and enjoy the buffet. I was able to taste almost everything and it was delicious. It seems that the products are homemade and of high quality. The coffee was also excellent. I can not wait to return to!

Our 3rd experience at Pied Bleu and each time the same pleasure. Lyon-inspired specialties with a touch of Quebec culture are always very successful. One of the only places in Quebec where offal is highlighted! What can we also say about the brunch buffet (come on an empty stomach), sausages, black pudding, baked beans, cold meats, cold buffet, bread, pancakes, eggs are there! The service is very friendly and close to the customer. Louis, the owner, is a bon vivant who likes to entertain, chat and make jokes! In summary, a restaurant like in a Lyonnais cork where conviviality rhymes with generosity and quality!See you soon for a new trip!

Unfortunately very very disappointed… we bought a promotion and it is clearly indicated on the coupon 1 coupon per person per invoice. We sit at the table 3 people each with our coupon and the waitress categorically refuses to take more than one coupon even though there is absolutely no indication on this subject…. Huge lack of respect and a big lack of class and no respect for his commitments... in these difficult times for restaurants he doesn't really help himself. It’s really the basis of business to respect your commitments and they clearly don’t do it…

Unpretentious and excellent. Dropped in on a snowy day in early January and enjoyed every mouthful of the lunchtime buffet and a couple of glasses of wine. Bought some black pudding to take home with me as it is really good.
