The service is terrible. The other reviewers who have commented on this are right. We waited more than 20 minutes without having been as much as acknowledged by any staff, even though the place wasn’t particularly busy at the time. Finally, after it was clear that we would continue to be ignored indefinitely, we left. The cozy atmosphere doesn’t compensate for the lack of attention, or even respect, for that matter. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Highly reccommend. Food was delicious, service was fast, and historic atmosphere. Will return.

A very cozy and warm atmosphere. We really enjoyed the vibe, and everything was great. Definitely a nice place to relax and have a good time.

Honestly a terrific spot to stop by to escape the cold. Slight wait as I made the mistake of going right with the lunch rush but it went by quickly with the fire going right beside the door. Attentive service, fair prices, cold beer, warm atmosphere, and good food (or the smoked meat sandwich at least). Will be back if I am back in town. Very interesting spot with the historic vaulted ceilings, cultivates a palpable vibe.

Awesome pub!! We visited the area for four days last week and spent three of those nights at the pub. We had the same server (can't remember her name), who was awesome, pleasant and very attentive to all - so nice to get such great service. The place was always busy, many often waiting for seats, but understand why they would. The service, other patrons, staff, music, environment and price were all awesome. Would highly recommend the pub and will certainly visit went we return.

Wonderful atmosphere and very cozy. The staff are very friendly and the onion soup is one of the best rated ones in the city. Must try!

Such a fun place in the evening. Super warm and cozy. Played cards had some great cocktails and fantastic service. Didn’t get to try the French onion soup, but it looked like a popular choice. Go definitely be back!

Poor food quality and Expensive for what it is.
Good place for a drink, not the best for good cuisine, as it was very basic.
It is a tourist-trap restaurant. Too bad. They could make so much more money if the food was really good and not just junk.

Small cozy little pub. Can be a bit loud depending on the crowd. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Food and drink were decent.

What an incredible find! We wandered upon this pub and it was a highlight of our trip to Quebec. It feels as if you’ve stepped back 200 years in time. Excellent food, French onion soup and Brie were delicious! Don’t pass on the maple whiskey!

We went to grab a drink to warm up while sight seeing. I got the mulled wine, but didn’t hit the spot. Didn’t seem to have that traditional taste.. more so tasted like hot red wine. The coffee was yummy though. Lovely atmosphere and great vibes overall though. Very cozy with a fire going.
