We went there for my partner's birthday. The food was good. The owner was friendly and put on a special song for my partner's birthday. I had a freshly made juice, it was delicious.

The rice, plantains, meat, sauce and coleslaw were not good. Really not. In addition for the coleslaw she said be careful it's extremely spicy. It wasn't at all. The menu is really tiny, there were barely 15 choices and the waitress told us that 3/4 of the menu was not available. She didn't even know there were sandwiches on her menu. My friend had the beef with fries. Convenience store jerky is softer than that. My lamb was dry, lamb is a very easy meat to cook which remains tender even for beginners in the kitchen so you almost have to do it on purpose to miss lamb, it really makes no sense. I arrived there with my friend and the owner was playing DJ. The music is too loud I had trouble communicating with my friend. It's supposed to be a restaurant not a nightclub. And what's the point of turning the music so loud when you only have 3 customers? But your music is better than your food so maybe it could be a career choice for you. You don't seem mean or anything, but I didn't feel respected at all by being served this completely ruined meal.

Every time I go to Quebec, I make sure to stop by there, because it's really good Creole, the atmosphere is very nice and the employees are friendly. The last time really cemented my loyalty, though. Because of a simple misunderstanding, I ended up with a "fritaille griot" instead of the traditional griot; the difference is that instead of rice and [DELICIOUS] sauce, it's two acras and a lot more plantains than usual. Well, this person agreed to give me a sauce and even offered me some rice if I wanted to come back (I had taken out). Wow. She saved my happiness that evening, proving to me that I was loyal to the right establishment! Thank you Regal Kreyol <3

Nice, unpretentious little neighborhood restaurant with delicious Creole classics. The meat is super tender and the service is charming and attentive, with lots of good humor.

So here, it's excellent traditional Creole style cuisine. The Griot is a classic and I highly recommend! A small restaurant with a totally underestimated Creole atmosphere.
To try in the city ☺️
