Thank you for making our thanksgiving dinner special! Such a lovely shopkeep who gave us one of the best mezze platters in town, with tons of little surprises! Highly recommend for anyone who needs a break from poutine and meats during your travels. Amount of food for price was really great too.

Came to Quebec city for a day and glad that I found this gem. Great Halal option!! The food tastes amazing. You to have a big appetite to finish the entire meal. Both the quantity and quality is excellent. The owner also gifted us two Baklava which is a very kind and welcoming gesture. Well spent $50 for such a wonderful dinner.

This small Lebanese restaurant is an absolute delight. My husband and I both had an Assiette dish. He had the végétarienne and I had the shish taouk. We mixed and matched. The falafel were scrumptious, accompanied by several flavorful vegetable sides as well as delicious hummus and pita bread. My marinated chicken was well-seasoned and accompanied by a tomato and parsley salad along with several other lovely sides. The baklava we got at the end was supreme, just the way baklava should be, chewy and fudgy, not dry.

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch at Bachir. A meal was fresh and delicious. We will definitely come back if we come back to Quebec. This place definitely has the best Baklava we have ever tasted.

We were a party of three and, based on all the positive reviews, decided to give this place a try.

When placing our order, we only wanted a single platter to share since we weren’t very hungry. However, the server repeatedly commented that this would not be acceptable. We pointed out that the menu clearly states a $10 charge for sharing, but he insisted it should be $20 for two people. We were still fine with paying the $10 since we simply wanted to eat less, but his tone came across as rude and dismissive, as though we were making the wrong choice.

When the food arrived, no extra plates were given for sharing. When I politely asked for them, the server again remarked that “normally” he wouldn’t provide plates because the portion we ordered wasn’t much food. This reinforced the impression that he was pushing us to order more than we wanted. We also noticed him making similar comments to other tables, suggesting they order more food.

As for the food itself, it unfortunately lacked flavor and was underwhelming. Combined with the service experience, this really ruined what we hoped would be an enjoyable meal.
