This restaurant came up when looking for a fun and quirky place to have dinner. The food was amazing and so well presented. We had the rabbit wings, bison filet mignon, halibut and they were all amazing and decadent. The star of the show was the poor man's pudding - super rich and tasty and you had the option to add fried foie gras or bacon...but we declined. Highly recommend this spot as the staff is friendly and accommodating to our less than stellar French!

Lovely place for brunch - had a delicious plate of French toast with caramelized apples and added bacon. Cozy atmosphere.

Fun spot, a bit hectic even for an off-hour lunch. Food was very filling, but a little one-note and could use seasoning. I thought the tomato jam/salsa with the pâté chinois was quite good, delighted by that little bite.

We enjoyed their brunch so much, we went back a 2nd time on our trip! Would recommend making reservations for the weekend.First time we split the Assiette d'la Cabane (Sugar Shack Plate) - and good thing we split it! If you can't decide what to order, get this (and maybe an extra side of bacon, trust me).Second time we got a few sides to share, including a chocolate banana waffle which was decadent.Coffee is good, mimosas are good. Staff are friendly and food comes out quick. Go here for a great breakfast!

Very, very cool atmosphere, wonderful cuisine, with very tasty dishes. Large portions of deliciously prepared breakfasts. But the greatest achievement of this establishment is the design, it really feels like you have stepped back 100-150 years, this is still supported by the appropriate music. Therefore, I advise you to come here at least once for breakfast or lunch.Kid-friendliness: Very cheerful waiters who constantly talk to children ;)))

Loved the restaurant and so do most of the people. We got lucky to get a table in the morning slot at 10:30 am without booking in advance, as we saw big line in front of restaurant after we left. The food was amazing, we had waffle and crepe. The ambience is good, the staff is nice. And the coffee is free and refillable. What could you ask for!! Also, you get 15% discount on the side souvenirs shop if you show the bill. The waiter will tell you where the shop is but it’s just on the left of the restaurant. We bought maple syrup from the shop and loving every bite of it.Vegetarian options: Had enough vegetarian options to choose.

They ran out of rabbit wings when we went for dinner at like 6pm, which was sad since that's why we went. My partner really enjoyed the venison pot pie but I thought my poutine was just okay. The house limonade was fantastic though and my partner found his new favorite drink in the spruce soda. Atmosphere is uhhh aggressively Quebecois.Kid-friendliness: There were a bunch of kids around, the staff seemed very engaged with them, and the menu comes with coloring book options and games.

An extraordinary restaurant both in the atmosphere and in the quality of the food. The cabin + extra toast plate for an economical and delicious discovery experience.

This place is cool. We just wanted to stop in because it looked really interesting from outside. We were not hungry but we ended up eating. We were so surprised. This place has really good food. The atmosphere is so cool. I recommend the chicken & waffles. This is a must try.

Your standard Quebec Sugar Shack gets a modern face lift with this place. The portions are mid size but pack a punch of flavour. My grilled cheese was good but I wish the cheese on my poutine had melted more (that's how I like it) but it had the quintessential squeaky cheese. Make sure you come hungry.
