We recently visited this restaurant and I should say food quality was good with there was a good decoration in restaurant However, I was surprised when the waiter requested a high tip (at least 15%) immediately after I paid the bill with tip for lunch and he complained about it why I paid less tip. He said, tip should be higher than the TAX (around $30) that I paid for the food.

Our breakfast was included with hotel in the same restaurant, so in the next day when I visited the same place with my parents, he immidietly requested for the tip related to yesterday and today! So, I had to just pay two tips for yesterday's lunch and today's breakfast! I felt uncomfortable with the direct request!!! I will not visit this place anymore in my next visits to Quebec City and I will not recommend it to my friends!

What an experience. Had the 3 meat dinner (venison, elk, bison). It was lit before us and served with a plate of delicious veggies. The squash was so flavourful. The server was attentive and explained the menu in English. We were so grateful. Spoke to our daughter in French and English to work on her conversation skills. She enjoyed the chicken fingers. So thankful for the kids options with such an elaborate menu. Thank you for an amazing dinner in the historical city.

We were so thrilled to try new cuisine and Sagamité did not disappoint! The Sagamité soup may have stolen the show, the broth was incredible. The elk flank steak was also delicious, but I still think about that soup LOL. Our waitress taught us about the food, the Wendak people, and the history of the First Nations people and their struggle and triumph and we are so thankful they are here to share their heritage and cuisine with us. Plus they made a perfect bloody Ceaser!

When I discovered this unique place during my research of Old Quebec City, I knew had to go. They lived up to my expectations. Their menu is so unique I had to order something I knew I could get at home. Also, I usually don't eat a big dinner. I went for the two tartar of venison and salmon. Yes, salmon I can get in a sushi restaurant, but in case I did not like the venison I knew I would eat the salmon. Well, the venison was simply heavenly. It came with a generous salad to help balance the meal. I wish I had taken a better picture, but I was ready to dive into my meal. I was very glad that I made a reservation because the place filled up quickly. Eating here will be a very fond memory when I look back on my travels.

best meal we had in Québec by far! since they specialized in meats that most restaurants here do not serve, we had to try as many as possible. the elk and deer medallions were tender and super flavorful. we appreciated that it was not over seasoned and that we could taste the difference in meats. the short ribs of homademade smoke bison was tender and fall off the bone. the fries were super generous and the gravy the accompanied the short rib was excellent. the beef and venison tartare were super unique and delicious, definitely a must try. and the walleye fillet was cooked to perfection with a sweet cranberry sauce that complimented the dish perfectly. we also go the sagamite soup which was a nice lighter option, still loaded with meat and beans, to switch up the heavier options on our table. highly highly recommend this restaurant when in old quebec city!

i’d recommend making a reservation

The food was terrible – the soup lacked flavour, the bread was not freshly baked, and the meat was chewy. Nothing seemed fresh and we didn’t finish a single dish. Not to mention that it overpriced for what it was.
The service was poor – only one server for the whole restaurant, who was mostly overwhelmed and quite arrogant. When we tried to express that the food was not good, he shrugged it off by telling us that we should have informed him earlier.
Overall 0/5 if Google allowed that. Do yourself a favour and NEVER visit this restaurant. No wonder it was empty both times we passed by.

The food was cold and undercooked. The server was rude when tried to give him the feedback. Will not visit this place again for sure.
