While the food at Shahi Tandoor was decent, the service was nothing short of unacceptable. A restaurant’s success is not just about taste, but about hospitality, consistency, and professionalism — all of which were completely missing here.
Several items on the menu were “not available,” and the excuse we received was: “we are very busy today and most of the items are gone.” That’s not an explanation, it’s poor management. Running out of multiple dishes on a busy night signals lack of planning and inventory control — fundamentals any competent restaurant should have mastered.
To make matters worse, it took 25 minutes to bring a single naan, and we had to cancel the rest of our order because it never arrived. A staple item like naan should never take that long, regardless of how busy you are. This is a clear sign that the restaurant prioritizes overbooking tables and chasing revenue, instead of delivering a respectable customer experience.
If you cannot serve customers properly, the responsible approach is to limit covers, manage your kitchen capacity, and maintain your menu integrity — not leave diners waiting endlessly and apologizing with excuses.
In its current state, Shahi Tandoor feels less like a restaurant and more like a cash grab. Good food alone cannot make up for disorganized operations and disregard for customers’ time.

This place is a scam.
Bad service or I should say worst service in Canada.
Worst indian food I ever had.
We were with 3 friends, ordered Nan, tikka masala lamb Tikka.
None of them taste good.
There is a reason why they have bad review.
Please do not go to this restaurant.food department should inspect to see if the food is fresh.
This is really bad restaurant.

I honestly regret wasting my time and money here. The food quality is pathetic, absolutely nowhere close to being edible. The place feels unhygienic, and it shows in the way everything is served. To make it worse, the staff have zero manners. Every single time we tried to order something, the response we got was “we’re busy” instead of doing their job. They clearly don’t know how to talk to customers or even take a proper order. It’s one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

We visited first time back in July this year on our trip to Quebec!
The visit was certainly worth it.
The food was good and the service of that very young lady was also very courteous, professional and accommodating. Would definitely visit again!

Vegetable Pakora was crunchy, Paneer Pakora deliciously soft inside. Service was excellent, staff kind, and the food’s taste and quality were spot on.

Mix Veg Jalfrezi with Palav Rice made for a hearty, flavorful dish. Service was fast, staff accommodating, and the food was fresh and vibrant.

Despite the great service and atmosphere, this Indian restaurant fell short on the most important part: the food. The naan came out burnt, and the shahi paneer wasn't tasty, making for a disappointing meal. While the staff was friendly and the ambiance was lovely, it's not enough to make up for the lackluster dishes. For that reason, I can't recommend it if you're looking for a great culinary experience.

Malai Kofta’s creamy sauce and soft dumplings paired wonderfully with warm Tandoori Naan. Staff were welcoming, service flawless, and the food tasted homemade yet refined, a perfect blend of comfort and elegance.
