I hesitate to write a review of it because it is such a local hidden gem that we luckily found for our Xmas dinner.
It doesn’t vibe fancy, more like a crib or a local bar with graffiti and drawing walls, but their tasting menu was by far the best we had!

Wow. One of the more memorable dining experiecnes we have had. They really achieved their goal of unpretentious fine dining. All the courses were noteworthy and creatively put together. The service is attentive and with care, and when you consider that both the kitchen and service is manned by only one person respectively it makes the whole operation all the more impressive. Expect to take your time and go appreciate the flow. Would happily recommend this to anyone looking for something a little different.

An outstanding experience. While I was surprised to find only tasting menus available, it turned out to be the best meal I've had in a long time. The savoury courses—octopus, cod, steak, and pork—were deceptively simple at first glance but complex and delicate in flavour. The dessert featured a unique bitterness from ginger spice that paired perfectly with the cranberry. A special shout-out to Sam, tonight's sole server, whose passionate and detailed explanations of each dish elevated the entire evening. Highly recommended.

The meal I enjoyed at Restaurant Sinsemilla ranks as one of the best I’ve ever eaten! Service wise, Samuel was an amazing host explaining every detail of the food experience on my plate and Bob cooked impossibly delicious courses on the electric stoves in his no nonsense kitchen. I started my meal with NB oysters, then onto a local asparagus and mushroom mosaic, followed by bison flank steak with celery root gratin, and ended with a gourmet brownie finished with hazelnuts, ice cream, and local rhubarb. I only wish I didn’t live 7 hours away!

If you are visiting Quebec City add this restaurant to your must-do list. We had the 5-course tasting menu; it started great and only got better. Each dish was excellent, and it was clear that the folks operating this place have incredible culinary creativity and passion for what they do. One of the owners, Sam, was working the front of the house and took time to thoughtfully explain each dish in detail and made a perfect wine selection for us. The menu changes monthly and if I lived nearby, I would make sure to have dinner there every month. My one and only suggestion would be to turn up the lighting a bit so you can better see these gorgeous dishes. Foodies, you will love this place!

Had an amazing meal at Sinsemilla! The atmosphere is relaxed, but the food truly stands out. The chicken with mushrooms was comforting and full of flavor, and the steak with a fried beef ball was a unique, delicious combo. Dessert was a cake with macadamia nuts— mind-blowingly interesting, with the perfect crunch. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!
