0/5 – One of the Worst Indian Meals I’ve Ever Paid For

I don’t even know how to process what I just ate.

Veg Biryani came with SALAD DRESSING on it.
Yes. Actual. Salad. Dressing.

Who in their right mind puts salad dressing on biryani? That’s not fusion that’s a culinary crime. Biryani is supposed to be aromatic, spiced, layered… not drowned in whatever vinaigrette nightmare this was.

Veg Korma tasted like straight-up sugar. Not mildly sweet dessert-level sweet.

Madras Chicken Curry was basically oil with chicken floating in it. Zero flavour, zero depth, just greasy and rushed.

Aloo Gobi? So soaked in oil it felt like it was deep-fried and reheated three times.

Everything tasted like it was made in a panic, with no care, no seasoning, and absolutely no understanding of Indian food.

This wasn’t just bad it was confusing.
Whoever cooked this clearly has no idea what these dishes are supposed to taste like.

Save your money. Save your stomach.
This was hands down one of the worst takeout experiences I’ve had.

Never. Again.

PS : Uber Eats recommendation engine is garbage.

I personally like the yellow 👍 👌 vegetarian dish with the rice almonds nuts variants. I have high blood pressure circulation and Diabetes. It helps with a immune system against Alzeimers Disease and Irritability. Don't always listen to rude snobby comments everybody is different it maybe not be perfect but I kind of understand the psychological frustration. I have traveled to Costa Rica 🇨🇷 the culture is very different from Quebec very true..

Avoid this place at all costs.

I had one of the most unpleasant dining experiences of my life here. I went in thinking it was an authentic Indian restaurant — it’s absolutely not.

The owner, who greeted me with no warmth or smile, gave me a table (the restaurant only had one other couple dining at the time). I’m a vegetarian, so I asked if they use separate utensils and pans for vegetarian food. He told me, quite bluntly, that they cook meat and vegetarian dishes in the same pans immediately after cooking meat (at least he was honest about that.)

Since they also serve beef, I politely said I wasn’t comfortable eating there and decided to leave. As I was about to exit, the man (with a beard) began yelling at me, saying he had prepared the table for me — even though he hadn’t served a single thing, not even water. When I said I didn’t see an issue since I hadn’t been served, he got defensive and started hurling insults.

I was shocked and honestly disturbed by the experience. I mentioned that I would be sharing my honest review so others could make an informed decision.

Having tried a few “Indian” restaurants in Quebec, I can say many are unfortunately not authentic — but this one, in particular, was rude, unwelcoming, and misleading.

The worst Indian food I've ever had ! All the dishes tasted the same, they were all overly sweet and the lamb was far from tender, the Nan bread was also very sweet! Who puts sugar in Nan bread ? The service was fine but when it came time to pay, they tried to overcharge me twice, overall a very bad experience, NEVER AGAIN ! !!

I ordered, Shrimp Briyani, Veg Pulao, Butter Shrimp, Naan and Lamp Korma. I am kind of disappointed with what I received as the shrimp briyani was too spicy as well as the pulao which was spicy and different. The Pulao was different in the sense that there was a plat of rice and a place of spicy veg curry that had to be mixed to eat up! Not the kind of Pulao I ever ate in my life.

I did as if it was spicy as I have small kids, they did say yes but in the end it was too spicy. I wasn’t happy with my phone order also, the person I talked with couldn’t advise much based on my requirement of small kids and elderly who can’t eat spicy food!

I unfortunately didn’t find the authentic Indian food!

Where can I start? I have been going to this restaurant for 20 years now. It never disappoints!! They have the BEST butter chicken I have ever tasted. Its sweet but soooo flavourful. I went to a lot of good restaurants (some were micheline star restaurants) during my life and this is one of them. I always take the same 4 dishes when I go there. Butter chicken, bhoona shrimp, balthi lamb or the korma vegetables. These dishes are fantastic. They are so good that I never went to eat indian food elsewhere in Quebec City in 20 years. To be honest I ate a lot of indian food in my life and nothing taste as good as the food from this restaurant. I recommend 100% this restaurant. Trust me. 20 years at this restaurant and I have never been disappointed. The naan bread is also amazing. A shout out to the staff. Never change your recipes. Also, I read some bad reviews about this restaurant and I completely disagree with them. They must be haters. Like I said, all the people that want to eat indian food that I know in Quebec City go to this place. I cant say if the other indian restaurants are good because I will never go. I will continue to only go to this restaurant because every time its just so delicious.
