It’s called an Indian restaurant, but there’s no food with authentic Indian taste. We understand that adjustments might be made for local preferences, but even after requesting Indian spicy flavors, the food lacked any taste. Additionally, there were no available employees to take orders promptly. For those seeking authentic Indian taste, I only suggest trying the Veg Biryani.

I've always loved this restaurant. The service could be improved because sometimes it varies. But the last time I had great service with a friendly server. There were no issues. The food is tasty and if you're not sure what to have they'll give you great recommendations. I'm planning to go back this Tuesday for lunch! I can't wait. Some of the negative reviews on here are so weird and clearly some sort of smear campaign or personal grudge against the owner.

I was apprehensive because of the negative feedback that the food would be good or not because there are very few Indian restaurants in the quebec city that offer good vegetarian food.I ordered chana Masala,Indian Bread and biryani which tasted good.POS: Service charge is mandatory and applied on the bill.Vegetarian options: Chana masala & Biryani

This restaurant disappointed on multiple fronts. The food didn't live up to the authentic taste I've had with Indian friends, the ambiance had unpleasant odors, the waiter lacked enthusiasm, and the washrooms were not clean. It fell short of my expectations for an enjoyable Indian dining experience.

Even 5 star is not enough for the food and services they provided to us. Don’t be fooled by the negative review. It’s totally different experience. Just loved it. ????

Easily the worst Indian food I’ve ever had out of a restaurant. I got lamb korma and garlic naan. Some of the lamb chunks were very chewy (others were tender), the garlic naan had no flavor whatsoever, and worst of all, the korma sauce was so disappointing. It was really thin and watery, way too sweet, and under-seasoned.This place will get the job done if you’re REALLY craving Indian food, but I’d just suggest you don’t waste your time or money here.

One of the worst types of the Indian Food. If you truly love Indian Food better to avoid the restaurant. They charge you additional Service Tax of 10% if you are having 4adults and 1infant without informing you in advance.I travel from the East Coast of Canada to the West Coast of Canada. Such charges are only applicable to this Hotel not on other Hotels in Quebec. Interesting point to note before visiting the same.

:::Terrible Service:::We are tourist here. As it's Christmas, we decided to have dinner here. The guy at the reception was very arrogant. For him, it literally doesn't matter whether customers are coming or not. Now I understood why this restaurant has such a poor ratings and reviews. They didn't have any food items which we asked and we just left. Unfortunately, spoiling the iconic name "Taj Mahal". We felt glad to walk into a restaurant which is on the other side of the road ??

No major complaints about the food. We ordered a Vegetarian combo which tasted fine. We were happy about the items in the combo for two and the portion sizes were good for medium level of hunger. However, there was only one naan bread served for two people. Veg korma was too sweet and I was told that most patrons like it that way. Dessert was just fruits on yogurt and didn’t taste good. Otherwise, the food tasted fine and fresh.More than food, it’s the service that needs improvement. We were not allowed to take a booth by the window even though restaurant was totally empty. Bathrooms were dirty and were cleaned only after we alerted them. They added a mandatory non-negotiable 15% service charge for a party of two. $55 food ended up costing $73 after taxes and service charge.Bottom line, food meet our expectations but not the service.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options tasted fine even though there were only a few options.

I am so totally disappointed in their food. We ordered the mushroom bhaji and chicken bhuna and they literally had no taste. It was like it was the same curry with two different items in it. Their mango lassi is the like water, so much so to water it down they put ice cubes in it to water it down even more. For the price charged definitely not worth it.The customer service was terrible as well.
