old school tavern vibe with good beer selection and good quality pub food. we came here after ice skating over at the museum loop near the plains of Abraham. Would definitely come back again, and highly recommend if you’re into the rustic-yet-trendy tavern/pub vibe

From excellent to disgraceful service in 24 hours!
We visited on Sunday 23rd November, and were greeted by a friendly young man, who was attentive and engaging. We ordered food and drink, enjoyed the music and bit of conversation over the Las Vegas F1. We tipped accordingly (over the recommended amount) and said we’d return.
The following night, we visited again (Monday 25th November) and were met with a different server, a pouty, miserable young girl who thrust the food menus at us before we’d even sat at the bar. We explained we were just going to have a drink. She pointed to the QR code, rather than ask if there was anything we were looking for, or offering up a recommendation. What if we had no internet access or didn’t have or want to use our phones!
We ordered two beers which were plopped down on the bar with very uneven amounts in them. One almost overflowing, the other very short.
We asked for the bill which was given to us and we paid. We were about to leave a tip, even though her service warranted none!
However, she then said in a brash and arrogant manner, ‘you know tips aren’t included, right’.
Yes, we knew that, and had cash in hand to leave a tip, but as we’d not even drank the last of the drinks and hadn’t even got coats on to leave, her demand (and it was a demand, by way of her tone, and the way she threw the comment at us) meant we decided not to leave any tip.
We understand that tips are customary, and a reward for good service, however her customer service from start to finish was shocking.
To the management: the music and bar is great. As was our first server who we tipped well.
What a drastic turn of customer service in 24hours with the awful service, and demands from the female server this evening.
We won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend anyone visit when this server is working!
Also, the sign outside states ‘live music daily’ which isn’t the case. It’s Thursday-Sunday, presumably in winter.

It was my first time visiting Quebec City. My train from Montreal was delayed, so I arrived at my hotel around 11:30 p.m. on a Monday night, tired and hungry after a long day. I stepped out after checking in and found a cozy spot called Taverne Grande Allée.
That night, the bartender Éric made me a delicious grilled cheese sandwich simple but perfect. I liked it so much that I came back the next day, where Lilly-Rose served me with such warmth and great service. Now it’s my third and final night before leaving Quebec City, and I couldn’t resist ordering the same grilled cheese one last time. Tonight, Jeremie was behind the bar just as friendly and welcoming as the rest of the team.
Every visit has been consistently warm and enjoyable, and the staff here make you feel right at home something I rarely experience, even in Toronto. Highly recommend this place!

Such a cool bar with a great vibe! We went on a Saturday night when they had a live band playing, and the atmosphere was so lively and fun. The margarita tasted fresh, with just the right amount of lime—definitely felt like it was made with quality ingredients. The nachos were also delicious, generous in portion, and perfect for sharing. A fantastic spot for a fun night out.

As an Anglo from Alberta, I’ve been here before and loved the atmosphere, beers, and food so on a return trip since 2021/2022 I’m happy to report they are still very welcoming to us not so strong with the French language.
Only problem I could pick out was my chicken sandwich was a little smaller than I pictured. But the poutine was great and plentiful

Would not return, server got my order wrong twice. Poutine cold. Cheese not melted just chucks, and gravy cold. Burger was misleading double burger is like eating one patty. Server was very nice. Not for me.

We had a great time. Dinner, drinks and service were outstanding. Watched the 1st period of game 6 of Stanley Cup playoffs.
Whether it was the atmosphere, the service or the food, everything in my opinion was perfect. I had a large nachos and believe me the portions are generous! Also the tavern's grilled cheese is a MUST to try! Finally, prices vs quantity and quality is extremely good! For $47 excluding tip we even took some home!
I extremely enjoyed my customer experience and will not hesitate to return!
