A restaurant with a warm atmosphere and succulent dishes! The pasta flambés with truffles are just wow and the antipasto on 3 floors is something that I have never seen in a restaurant, in short, a deserved 5 star and a must in Petit Champlain!

My boyfriend and I went to Va Bene for date night and everything was great. The homemade pastas were delicious and the service was excellent as well. A special thanks to Philip who took great care of us.

We loved it, from the service to the food to the decor. We'll be back soon to try their pasta since we tried the filet mignon and the veal tonight.

We had walked by Va Bene quite a few times and we were eager to go, we decided to make it our last dinner of our trip and it was the perfect finale! Not only is the interior absolutely charming and sophisticated, the staff was amazing and attentive plus the food was absolutely delicious. This was by far the best dinner of our trip, we started with a spritz along with choosing our own antipasti which included focaccia, suppli (or also known as arancini depending on what part of Italy), prosciutto, an Italian cheese and the panzanella salad. Then we tried two of their specials that evening which was an Italian style French onion soup that was to die for with cipollini onions and a homemade beef broth and finished with their version of poutine (it was carneval/poutine week) which was a braised veal cheek gnocchi poutine - the veal was like butter it just melted in your mouth! Overall, if I had another night to go during my trip I would eat there twice, the food and ambiance was perfect in every way! Great little gem to the Petit Champlain district!!
Excellent starter and delicious risotto. Absolutely worth trying.

The open kitchen afforded views of them making the parmesan pasta, a featured, tasty, but a tad overpriced for the portion size. The waitstaff was amazingly attentive and spoke fluent English while explaining dishes and recommendations. We enjoyed sharing one of the tiered platters, others enjoyed the pasta (above mentioned) feature, but felt that it should have come with a side salad for that price, the other enjoyed his beef. The atmosphere is quaint, the presentation of meals lovely and the tiramisu is nicely portioned to share!

A very nice discovery.A pleasant restaurant as much in decoration as in food and service.I particularly thank Lucas our very pleasant and very competent server. We ate there during poutine week and I ordered a revisited “Italian” poutine. That was delicious ! Just like the other dishes on the menu. The products are very good and the dishes inventive. The dishes were plentiful and we will have to come back to taste the desserts. The place is very beautiful, the decoration has been chosen with care.I highly recommend.

Very good surprise, one of the rare restaurants in Little Champlain open until 10 p.m. during the week. The food was excellent (we tried the gnocchi poutine and braised veal cheek from Poutine Week). The atmosphere was very pleasant in our alcove. And above all the impeccable service from our server Lucas! Thank you we will come back!
