New administration! Very happy with this reopening. The quality and quantity are there. The beef is very tasty and what can we say about the potatoes. Our welcome was warm and family-friendly.

It is no longer Basha but Elijah.Clean place with friendly staff. The lady who serves us and the cook are super friendly. My plate of shish taouk was copious, the potatoes were good. The vegetable and beet salads were good. The only downside is that in the photos the other salads look great, but in real life there is way too much mayonnaise in them.

I hate to say this, but don't go there. 1: we (2 people) wanted to order a Falafel plate, and the other a Vegetarian plate. The cashier doesn't know the difference, come and see the signs. Statue with us that there are 2 falafels in one, 4 in the other, and 4 choices of salads on each plate. She tells the cook our order, and we hear the cook and her persisting, her saying it was different, him saying it was the same...2: Normally, the plates we ordered do not require any cooking, since the falafels are already prepared in the front counter, and the salads too. But we are made to wait at least 10-15 minutes because "time for things to cook"?????3-4: no choice of salad present in the displays?!?! We wondered what we were going to get as a result: 2 identical plates: 2 falafels, diced potatoes??, rice???, 2-3 meatballs from unknown sources????, then 2 pita breads together in a bread bag...And the icing on the cake: a really not appetizing salad, pale green salad style, with 2 slices of tomatoes, then white "water" vinaigrette.Otherwise about the establishment:5: The floor is slippery/sticky from dirt.6: the place seems to be under renovation, or about to close, I can't say, since extension cords are lying on the ground, Doordash refrigerated bags are lying on the floor and on the tables??7-8: small incidental point, but the place is dark, faded decoration/painting, and the photos on the menus are really not obvious.So, all that to say:If I had been able to choose my 4 salads as is usually the case in a Basha restaurant, and if I had not had to wait at least 10 minutes for something that should usually require no cooking, I could have ignore several details, but these points unfortunately bring me to the 1 star rating.Really sorry, I would have loved to give you an excellent rating, especially since you are 2 steps from my house, but that's not possible, I hope my comment will be useful!
