I wouldn't consider this rating an accurate rating of the restaurant itself - we ordered the cheese fondue, meat fondue and a chocolate fondue - and I also had a Cesar. The Cesar, although somewhat tasty, I would never order again simply due to the rim...it was unlickable to get off. I'm not sure if they prepared it hours in advance and it had dried on but I literally used my teeth to attempt to scrape of the rim off. With a Cesar, you should be able to lick...and take a drink...this was like licking a heavy grit sandpaper and getting no flavor off of it. Cheese Fondue - cheese was tasty but the bread (in my opinion) should have been more than just raw unflavored cut up pieces of bread (again, I don't have any fondue experience) Meat Fondue - came with 3 random sauces, carrots (that were delicious) and a baked potato and then a plate of raw meat (steak, roast, chicken, broccoli & mushroom) - was it good - yes - the wife did say it was a very good broth that it was being cooked in...but I just don't get it. I had to stab slivers of meat and cook it myself and I paid extra. The carrots were the best I had ever tasted and the baked potato was that...it was good with the small packets of butter they supplied and some salt and pepper. Chocolate Fondue - it came with apples, oranges and waffle that was dipped in chocolate...it was good, no complaints Service staff were excellent - no complaints!

We were staying at the motel next door which is owned by the same people. The charm of the motel extended to the restaurant. Very pleasant staff! Especially good Caesar Salad. My husband had fish & chips which he enjoyed. The shrimp & scallop risotto was very good as well. Our server was informative and friendly. Would recommend this restaurant. Make a reservation for the room to the right! It was full the night we were there!

The restaurant is not what it used to be. I visited this restaurant in 2018 and loved the food. When I came back to try again yesterday , the food was terrible. Seems something was changed. 1. French onion soup- salty and old 2. Steak was dry and salty 3. Pizza crust was uncooked. 4. No seasoning in fish and chips Will never come back

Had a great meal here! The restaurant is very nice and comfortable and the service is excellent! The food was very fresh and tasty and we would definitely come back! We had the calamari appetizer as well as the seafood fettuccine and fish and chips.

The cacciucco fish stew was delicious, would definitely order again. The margherita pizza was ok. We had a spruce flavoured cocktail, it was delicious.

We ate here while in the city in 2015. The layout of the restaurant seems to have changed from what we remember. We did not have a reservation but that didn't seem to matter. Good food but I must admit we thought the prices were a bit high.

Wonderful experience as usual. Always enjoy their specialty cocktail "sous le bois". Steak and lamb cooked to perfection. Service excellent as usual. The 1/4 carafe of wine we wanted was not available but we were able to take the bottle we ordered with us.

On an previous visit while passing through the city we had reallyenjoyed this restaurant. This time we could only get a reservation for 8pm even though the place did not appear busy.once seated It took 20 min before a sever approached us, that should have been our clue to just leave. Both our meals were not good, 1 was a small steak, the thinnest steak I’ve ever seen, the other was chicken parmigiana, the chicken was dry mothered in a tasteless tomato sauce. After a few bites & seeing the consistency of the chicken my appetite passed. The waitress did not come back to check on if we were satisfied with the meal. She eventually returned, to remove the plates, she could see my meal was almost untouched. she offered no substitute or apology, we were charged for that meal.

What an incredible find tonight. Amazing food and hospitality. A memorable experience for our trip. I would stop in Rivière-du-Loup again just to go to this restaurant again. A++
Lovely restaurant with amazing food and service. Server Genvieve was so friendly and helpful. Service in English with a smile. The restaurant does not accept reservations but we only waited about 10 minutes on a Tuesday at around 7 pm. This place is a gem.
