The bar name at Auberge De La Pointe is La Miridor. It has fantastic views, lovely terrasse with fireplace, attentive staff. Upscale pub food, nice variety of wines and cocktails. We didn’t want a full dinner in L’Espadon. Ordering a couple of starters to share worked perfectly for a light dinner.
The restaurant advertises itself as having a river view (at least on booking.com) which it has definitively NOT. There are buildings between the restaurant and the river. It advertises as a special seafood restaurant, which it is not, with only 3 fish menus out of 6. We selected two, and the were not great, actually to the contrary. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant is a stress: within less then 70 minutes we were stuffed 4 courses down our throat: soup, main, desert, coffee. We were presented the bill before the coffee was halfway done, which listed the (Irish) coffee separately though it actually was included in the selected menu. My spouses salmon was overcooked, the mashed potatoes and vegetables luke-warm. I had mussels as part of my entree, which were tasteless - probably overcooked, or a few days old. The cod I had was fair. All in all, this restaurant is focused on serving as many as possible, as fast as possible with mediocre quality food - albeit the desert selection was fair, and the Auberge chowder was fairly good. Given the price and the expectation set, this was a herb disappointment and certainly not recommendable. Service was cordial but incredibly fast, just stress for us patrons. The whole made more an impression of a tourist trap then of a nice and decent restaurant, as the advertise. Will not go there again, nor recommend it.

I think it is a good deal. They have 4 different choices. We decided to have dinner there too but we paid at the moment of finishing dinner.We got gentle service. The prices are good, the restaurant is spatious so you don't listen people beside talking.They have an extended variety of wine and the place is very well organized and neat.We had a good expérience.And à plus, They speak english, too.
