A restaurant (not a cocktail bar, a restaurant!) that refuses children. So stay among adults. What reason justifies this? Never seen this in 35 years of traveling, with or without children, in restaurants and pubs around the world. Clearly not to be supported on principle.
Update following the manager's comment: Many Quebec restaurateurs serve alcohol and accept minors. If your restaurant license has the “no minor” option, it’s your fault. If you only have a bar license, it is a shame that you appear in Google as a restaurant (which seems to be your main activity according to the reviews). In addition, your bar license authorizes you to receive adults accompanied by minors on your terrace. In any case, it's your responsibility... as you say, "pathetic", I confirm.
Kid-friendliness: Refuse children. This is discrimination or a SEO error in Google (xxx adult restaurant or bar). In any case a disappointment if you go out with children.

First time for us.
We called ****before showing up*** because we wanted a terrace, they confirmed to us that there was space outside, we reserved and when we arrived **2 people** we were told that There is no room on the terrace. We waited for a table to become available.
The food was good, the only small point in my opinion is the menu which is very short. Not a lot of varieties or desserts ** we asked but only a coffee dessert was offered to us ** The prices were rather high in my opinion.
The music doesn't really go outside. We went there during the week so possibly the atmosphere is better on the weekend! That's why I'm giving it 4 stars since I can't really judge!
We ordered the bruschetta which would come on naan fri bread but it was on toast that evening. The Cesar salad which is on half of long iceberg lettuce not cut and for main meal the tao chicken, 6 chicken nuggets.
Passive aggressive responses in my opinion which is legitimate, I don't seem to be the only one to have responses like this! So that’s one star less on the service ?

I liked the service and the atmosphere. I ate the tomato and pesto shrimp pasta. There was no pesto in this sauce only tomato juice not seasoned. The much overcooked pasta as well as the shrimp. Very high price for this plate.
