Two of four items we ordered have gone bad.. Beef soup and steak were both made with the same kind of beef chunk. And they had a taste of sour / bad smell. It was a very hot day and we dined at 7PM, so I think the beef ingredient was not stored in fridge.. And the other items we ordered, the kid meal is actually decent, the grilled chicken is delicious, but the beef vegetable soup is horrible. The rice noodle in it is almost all broken and you can't use chopsticks to pick it up. ( No wonder they didn't put chopsticks on the table, and we had to ask for them). And the beef in the soup is also small beef chunks, unlike thin beef slices in any authentic vietnamese restaurant, the so-called vegetables are chunks of brocoli, cauliflower and bell pepper. Most of the chunks are still hard..
We have never eaten any vietnamese food as awful as the food provided by Chez Lien. When we travelled around, vietnamese restaurants are always our favorite since they usually offer decent food. But Chez Lien just surprised us.
What angered us more is, when we told the manager ( or waiter) that two food items are not fresh and the meat has gone bad, he didn't show any apology at all.. He took both dishes back to the kitchen. We had thought he was telling the chef to remake the dishes. But we waited for a long time, and nothing came.. Finally, we asked the manager, and he said they didn't remake the dishes. Maybe he doesn't speak English well so there is misunderstanding. But still, such attitude is just unbelievable.
We left the restaurant paid for the two dishes, and half of us with empty stomach, we drove to the nearby McDonald to get edible food.
This restaurant is horrible. The food is not safe to eat for human beings.

Not authentic Vietnamese Food, the menu is very very confusing. I guess the clientele that go there might not be familiar with real Vietnamese Cuisine. I regretted not looking at the reviews before, definitely not going back. Rather drive to Laval or Montreal to get real Vietnamese Food.

Despite the many bad reviews we went anyways.... we were NOT dissapointed, the food was AMAZING. Service was great, we were greeted with a smile, and the food arrived quickly and hot & fresh, atmosphere is typical of a asian restaurant, but it was clean and I appreciated that. Will definitely go back there again.
The food was bad and tasted funny. I barely ate my plate. Ultra expeditious services to get us out as quickly as possible even though it was 7:45 p.m.

I went today for an order to bring, 2 combos, beef with vegetables, general thao, small soups, egg roles, it's been 20 years since I went there, I loved it back in the day, well nothing edible there, extra extra thin and dry beef, general thao with dark meat, no sauce, dried vegetables, wet imperial rolls with carrots only, soups with juices, 2 mushrooms, some noodles, no sauce, no edible, my partner and I did not eat, we will never, ever return to this place..

Vietnamese restaurant, I had Tonkinese soup. Which turned out to be beef strip and noodle soup... no taste. Very disappointed. And in a smaller portion. I hope that in the future they will make a real Vietnamese Tonkinese.

I greatly enjoyed my experience at Chez Lien restaurant. The service couldn't be faster. The value for money is unbeatable. All the dishes we had were tasty. Hats off to the salads with marinated vegetables that accompanies the meals which were delicious. Bonus: it’s a BYOB!

Food used to be better but this time it wasn't great. The service is way too fast. You're still eating your appetizer and they bring you your main meal.
