Be careful as mentioned in another comment. I also advise you to read the comments from last year, which I neglected to do before going there. Here is our verdict. My partner and I went to this place for dinner in 2021. We loved the dishes even though the prices were high. We have no problem paying a high bill if we enjoyed the dishes. Lately we noticed that dinners were offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. So we decided to return there considering our previous experience. What a disappointment! The prices are not displayed on the Facebook menu and it's not for nothing. The portions are still tapas sizes, but with main meal prices. Everything costs between 25 and 30 dollars per plate. Plus, the taste is absolutely gone. This no longer has anything to do with Le Cachottier “before”. My partner took the beef tartare for $30, with a bland taste, which was a starter size and a house fries for $9 that weren't crispy enough. I had the Philly Steak dumplings and nachos which were nothing impressive. With 2 glasses of wine, our bill came to over $130 with tax and tip. Our coulinaire experience is absolutely not worth this price even though we were still hungry when we left. We felt ripped off. However, I must point out that the service was good. We who dine at the restaurant every Friday will therefore go to another restaurant from now on.

On arrival we don't know if it was with or without table service. There was confusion between the receptionist and the waitress. But in the end they were helpful and the waitress was apologetic. On the other hand, my order was all wrong lol

I made a reservation online, received a confirmation and when I arrived the restaurant was closed for the day.
The next day, same thing, closed but reservations are available online.
Very disappointing, because this restaurant was praised to me. It’s disrespectful not to think about reservations on your days off!

My daughter and her friend came for a cocktail and the waitress got upset because they hadn't given her enough of a stir to suit her taste. She told them that in this establishment it is obligatory to pay 15% surcharge! She took advantage of their young age to try to impose her authority. Please note that tipping is absolutely not obligatory in Canada, it is a courtesy and at the customer's discretion, and above all depending on the quality of the service. I can say that this is a lamentable attitude and borders on a scam.... So you have just lost customers!!! Well done!

One of my favourite places to go for a special treat. I go once a year and look forward to seeing what’s on the menu. The MOCKTAILS are fun!

A pitcher of beer for $35 apart from the ridiculous tip!

Very long service. We waited more than 1 hour 45 minutes before getting our first plate even though the restaurant was empty. The quality of the cuisine is good, however the portions (4-5 mouthfuls) are much too small for the prices the restaurant charges ($30 on average per plate). We walked out with a bill of $115 for two people on empty stomachs. It is completely unacceptable that a restaurant operates like this in 2024 when the competition (Pizze, Moulin Noir, Horizon Thai) offers a significantly better experience.

Portion much too small for the price, it was a bit ridiculous. Our group of 10 all agreed. Too bad because the atmosphere was fantastic!

Micro lasagna displayed as a dish even though it is a tapas. We learned this at the end of the meal while complaining about the quantity

The waitress is not happy with a $10 tip for a $30 meal when the service was really bad go to the 2 by 4 instead

The 5 ravioli on the plate were hard. Yes, 5 ravioli. But the fries at 7.50 were really good. Very small portion. The atmosphere was good. I don't recommend eating. I'm dreading the bill. Especially since I'm still hungry.

Very disappointed with my meal!! Price way too high for the plate we received!! I had a hamburger and my meat was almost raw!! I advise everyone not to go there to eat! As for the beer and the atmosphere, everything was perfect!!

Exorbitant prices!! When you pay at least $30 for a main meal, you expect to have a meal that fills you up. Instead, a mini piece of meat on a little puree, a strip of carrot and all that hidden by little sprouts (4 little bites in all!). The starter was more generous than the meal, even if it was not generous. This is our first time eating at this place and we won't be going back! We received a very expensive bill and we were still hungry at the end of the meal! Very disappointed with our dining experience. There were 5 of us and it cost us the price of a week's grocery store for 4, vanished into 7 bites (starter and meal included) and a bottle of wine. On the other hand, the service was excellent despite the fact that we waited 1 hour before being served our mini meal (and the restaurant was not busy at all). If you are hungry, choose another place.

After spending $70 on food for two, we were still hungry... portions way too small for what you pay.
