Bistro La Cache

I love this restaurant with the superb view of Lake Maskinongé.
Yesterday I had ribs and they were excellent!!
Everything is delicious actually!! ☺️

We went to eat at the Bistro after having it recommended to us.

Unfortunately our experience did not go well. We ordered the charcuterie platter to share as a starter. It is mentioned that there is prosciutto but we were served salami. Cheeses are easily sold in stores, so nothing exceptional. The best part of the platter is a bowl of olives. For the price paid, $34, I expect food with more quality.

As a main meal, ribs and fish and ship.
The ribs were dry, the fries were soft and not hot and served with a kind of coleslaw... but it looked more like large, roughly cut pieces.

The fish and ship was good, however the breading was not completely cooked... there was raw dough inside.

Despite our comment to the waitress, she didn't seem to care.

The service was also slow.

Unfortunately, it costs too much for what is offered..

Very disappointed, we will not return.

Special mention to our waitress, who despite her first day, was perfect!

The Burger was excellent and the beer too!
The view from the terrace is magnificent!

I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Saint Gabriel!

This Sunday for lunch, we order crispy squid and fish & chips, tables that arrive after us are served before. Worried, I reported it to one of the waitresses who dismissed our request, I insisted to another waitress who explained that the F&C had been put at another table and that it was going to be redone. In fact, the squid was not served and was not served at all.
crispy and not very hot since they were waiting. When the F&C arrives it is very cold inside and releases water, I ask to redo it. Despite these three problems, everything is billed. Too bad, beautiful place, beautiful setting but lack of professionalism…

Nous sommes allés au bistrot La Cache pour la fête de mon père. Nous avons été accueilli à l'entrée par une femme qui semblait être la propriétaire ou la gérante. Elle était rude dans sa communication avec nous, mais surtout avec son personnel si tel était le cas. Ça m'a mis personnellement mal à l'aise.

Sinon, nous avons passé une belle soirée. Notre serveuse Audrey était gentille et amicale. Le service était rapide, la nourriture était délicieuse. J'ai pris un poke bol (je recommande fortement, les carottes marinées dedans; gros coup de ❤️).

Comme plusieurs, je souligne les choix limités surtout en terme d'options végé. Malgré tout, superbe endroit dans la région ? Mon trois étoiles vient vraiment de l'accueil

Notre serveuse Jessica était fort attentionnée. Les enfants ont été servis en premier, ce qui est à souligner. Brillante idée!

Nourriture style bistro surprenante et excellente. Bols Poké avec choix de crevettes Général Tao, tartare de saumon ou tartare de thon rouge. Natchos style pâté chinois! Burger boeuf Angus. Poutine au boeuf braisé, et j'en passe...

Vraiment une excellente expérience! Je recommande le detour! La vue, les plats et le services sont exceptionnels! Les prix sont très respectables, repas à 20$ jusqu'à 28/30$.
Je suis vraiment contente de ma visite! Merci aux serveuses et aux cuisiniers!

Belle ambiance, service sympathique et rapide à notre passage.
Menu pas trop exhaustif et belle variété.
J'ai adoré la guedille de homard, mes amis ont beaucoup apprécié leur fish ans ship et également le hamburger.
Coup de coeur sur la vue du Lac Maskinongé évidemment!

Ma fille et moi avons été déjeuner et nous avons été charmées par le service exceptionnel, l’ambiance et la diversité du menu, félicitation au chef !!! Tout était parfait et en extra, une vue imprenable sur le Lac… Juste WoW!!!

Magnificent bistro. The atmosphere is so warm! The food is delicious and the service is excellent. My only remark: it lacks veggie options, but for the rest, it’s great! Thank you and see you soon !
