We love to eat and we had an absolutely DELICIOUS tasting menu at Seb in Mont Tremblant. Excellent service and truly special food. Highly recommend.
Food truck, the pork sandwich very little meat in it and very juicy when you eat it. the fries were so so. All together for the price did not reach our expectation.
Absolutely wonderful dining experience! We had the 4 course dinner with wine pairing. The presentation was spectacular and so tasty! Our server, Julie was super! She described each course with great detail. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back!
We had heard that this was a recommended restaurant in the area and were so looking forward to the meal. We arrived at 8:00 for our reservation and our two course meal ended up at 2 1/2 hours. We had decided on a la carte items and the appetizers were delicious, especially the venison ragu. It had taken a while to get to our table however. The wines were delicious. Then it took another hour for our entrees to arrive. Possibly the kitchen was short staffed this evening but we could see the waiters continually checking into the kitchen to see if their orders were ready (we were next to the kitchen door). Our waitress was aware that we were getting impatient, yet she could have apologized or explained the delay or a manager should have been involved. When the food finally came out, the duck that I had ordered came out and was no longer even warm. I had to send it back to heat up and it came back a touch warmer. The flavor was so-so and the vegetable was just a schmear on the plate. My wife's Arctic Char was delicious and perfectly cooked. My children (teen and adult) had ordered the bison brisket and neither one could eat much of it. The sauce that it was cooked in was entirely too salty. I tasted it myself and salt was the predominant flavor. When asked if we wanted dessert we said no as we had already been there over 2 hours and it still took 15 minutes for us to get the check. I do hope that the restaurant addresses these aspects of service or that it was just an off night, but I would not go back. For the price it should have been a great experience yet it was our worst food experience of our trip.
A meal memory forever. We tried the 7-course tasting menu. We challenges the kitchen with one of us being fishitarian and some gluten/lactose sensitive needs. However, from the very beginning an absolute joy for our taste buds. I will take to much time to describe them all so I will focus on the foi gras dish. An absolute experience. This item is on the regular menu but I was delighted to feel the devotion the chef had to deliver it to us even though he/she must have done it many times before. Perfect symmetry of textures, a clear idea of the composition that was expertly created. This i one of my best taste experiences ever. This dish alone would make me visit Seb again. Thank you.
Hands down the best restaurant in the Laurentians. Amidst the apres ski bars and pizzerias of Mont Tremblant, SEb L'Artisan Culinaire stands out with delicious, rich, Quebecois influenced innovative fare. The wait staff is friendly and welcoming. Every dish was exquisite. With all this, the check was quite modest. What's striking is that this restaurant isn't better known. It's not listed on most of the online Mont Tremblant best restaurant lists, yet it should be at their top. Perhaps because it's a little out of the way, twenty minutes from the slopes on a side street in the slightly depressed former village of St. Jovite, it seems to be frequented mostly by local Quebecois. It deserves better.
A great evening in a wonderful restaurant with some seriously good cooking. Fish in rich sauces, flavorful venison ragu, delicious short-ribs. Someone is thinking carefully about taste. Oh and delicious desserts. Hats off to the thoughtful sommelier who came up with well received wines that matched the quality of the food.
I think the marketing of this restaurant had gotten ahead of the food. The food was fine but nothing extraordinary. The venison starter was good but the lamb main course was average. Bit more queries about the service though. They seem to treat locals better. They did not follow my fiancé's request to respect her food allergies despite her having contacted them ahead of time twice. Had to follow up on the wine I had ordered. They did not come back to check on quality of food. Despite having a house nearby, not sure we'll be returning quickly.
Since it was our last day for our week in Mont Tremblant, we decided to find a good restaurant. We made our reservation for SEb L'Artisan Culinaire based on reviews and menu. Definitely a good choice. Knowledgeable staff, good personalized service, excellent wine selection and menu. We both chose the set menu with 4 course (2 different choices for the main course). All excellent and very obvious that there are high level chefs that do the food preparation. Food types were interesting and well prepared.
We recently dined at this restaurant on 3/12 and loved everything about our experience. When our family arrived we received a very warm greeting and were ushered into a beautiful private room - perfect for fine dining with young kids. Our server was Sebastian and in addition to being knowledgeable about the food, he was the bartender and we received perfect pairings throughout our meal and we loved his enthusiasm. Every course of the meal was delicious and perfectly prepared. The entire meal was perfection and we can’t wait to go back the next time we are in Tremblant.

My wife and I recently took a ski trip to Mt. Tremblant and took out a delicious meal from this quaint resto. We started with 6 oyster rockefellers and wish we had ordered 12. Only complaint, too much salt fell onto the oysters because of how they were packed. A delicious, custy focaccia was included which we weren't expecting. We used this to sop up the phenomenal duck ravioli which had generous amounts of duck. One of the better pastas I've had in years and better than anything in Toronto anyway. We also had the seafood gratin which was delicious and had generous amounts of scallop. We look forward to dining with this restaurant again, hopefully next time in-house.
I’d give this a 2.5 out of five but I wasn’t able to sort out how to do half stars. We had originally booked a meal at the nearby Le Grille St-Georges, however we read the responses on trip advisor from the manager to unhappy customers and he was ridiculously and offensively rude to them (shaming people who couldn’t afford more expensive meals). We decided to go to sEb based on the numerous positive reviews. Upon arrival for our scheduled reservation we were asked to come back as our table wasn’t ready. No problem, we walked around outside and came back and were seated. Unfortunately it was right in front of a very hot blowing heater which the hostess apologized about but I guess someone has to sit there. We asked about the 7 course menu and were discouraged by the waitress as it took 2.5 hours and it was 830pm. So we opted for the four course. The four course started with some bread and oil, and a little filled spoon. The one bite was tasty. Then we had a stew which was also good. The main course for me was duck (undercooked) and for my friend fish. Followed by a small lava cake which was okay as well. I thought there would be another plate (cheese perhaps?) but was told the spoon was considered one of the four “courses.” We were given a little tiny thumb tip sized pastry at the end and told it was compliments of the restaurant. Only our first two dishes were explained to us by the various servers, the others weren’t. My biggest issue tonight was the time between courses. We finally exited at 11pm from an 830 seating having paid $70 each for a four course meal that took 2.5! We could have just have had the darn 7 course meal - or maybe we would have exited at 1am at the pace it was going. We asked the server to request they try and bring the next meal out a little more quickly but no apology was offered by anyone there. The servers were nice but we weren’t given updates by anyone as we waited almost an entire hour between the stew and the main course. Ultimately the wait time and the quality of the food would make this a pass for me in future.
Our meal from start to finish was delicious. It is so worth the visit to this restaurant. The service is attentive but not overwhelming. The menu is limited, that usually means everything is good... there is something for everyone. Our meals were so flavourful. We were eyeing other plates that were going by, planning for our next visit.
We had a great experience on our first visit to sEb. They offer a wide variety of cuisine and an extensive wine list. This is a fine dining establishment, so the meals are priced accordingly. Our meal was absolutely wonderful, beginning with an "amuse-bouche" and ending with a tiny profiterole (both complementary) Our server was extremely friendly, attentive, knowledgeable of both the menu and the wines (he's a sommelier), and fun. You really owe it to yourself to have at least one really superior meal while your visiting near Mont Tremblant.
We loved the food, atmosphere and service. Our waiter was very pleasant, and friendly, and helped with recommendations. The small house type atmosphere was fresh, busy, and lively in a good way. We had fun and the food was fantastic.
