Food reheated in the microwave, unsanitary, waiting time too long.Very expensive for what it is.

The staff was super nice and welcoming and the restaurant was clean.

However, a certain piece of griot was damaged. I feel super bad because the staff were so nice, but this is unacceptable. Just by the smell I could tell which piece of meat was past its date. The rice is very sticky and it tastes like Salted Herring and not the usual sticky rice. The sauce... I don't know what it is, but definitely not a Haitian sauce. Normally, this sauce is red because it is made from tomato paste and meat broth, but the sauce is brown and has no real taste.

you just have to go to any other Haitian restaurant to know that it has nothing to do with restaurants in Longeuil or Montreal. This criticism is nothing personal, I hope it will be taken in a constructive way to improve everything ?.

Thank you for your good and warm service!!

One star, because Google requires one for a review…Dirty restaurant like that can't be…! Very ordinary food and some pieces of meat even seemed spoiled…Ultra ordinary as a service, it's as if we were disturbing...A big 0 out of 5 for us at this place!

I've passed by this business several times and despite some bad reviews, I really wanted to give it a chance. I was particularly interested in the buffet and was slightly disappointed to learn that it was only on Saturdays.Whoever appears to be the owner came to sit at my table and answered all my questions. It was going well. Being honest about the fact that I've never eaten Caribbean dishes before, I take his recommendations into account and order a cabris (lamb) with bean rice, salad and fried plantain bananas. As I'm the only customer, I can hear what's going on in the kitchen very well. First the sound of frying and then twice the sound of a microwave oven ringing.15 to 20 minutes after ordering, I receive my plate. The rice is very ordinary and tastes like it has been reheated in the microwave. For the goats, the same thing: the meat is dry, with pieces which, 2 times out of 5, contained large inedible tendons and which also seemed to have been reheated in the microwave. The salad is very plain and if there was a dressing, it had no taste. The plantains are good, but since I've never eaten them before in my life, I can't compare them with previous experiences. It was served with a little pot of sauce (whose composition I don't know) fortunately absolutely exquisite and another little pot of hot sauce which was so strong that it destroyed my taste buds. Then, when I start to eat, the owner decides to start with some Bob Marley compilation, made up of the same 6 songs on repeat. As if he realized that 《oh yes, I forgot the atmosphere!》. The timing was weird, especially since I was alone in the restaurant and the owner took the opportunity to take a nap in his corner instead of coming to talk to me.Then that's when I got mobbed by what appeared to be fruit flies. It's something I would have done without. Finally, when paying the bill by card, I have no option to choose the amount of the tip. The dish that was supposed to cost $17 cost me $32. I understand that there is tax and tip, but when it doubles the price, it becomes exaggerated. That's the price I expect to pay when ordering on Doordash, not eating there. It's such a shame, because it's a restaurant that I wanted to like, but apart from the sauce and the friendly people, I don't come away with a lot of positives.

I ordered around closing time and they waited and welcomed us with a huge smile, like family. While waiting for everyone to be ready, we discussed without rushing or stressing. The chicken in sauce and the rice were succulent and tasty and the bananas just as much, a real treat. All had the taste of the typical family food that I believe we find in a Haitian mother or grandmother, it was exactly what I wanted.

Kid-friendliness: Patient and caring with my 7 year old daughter.

We had called the day before to advise that we would like to order a buffet for 10 people celebrating a graduation. We also called early in the afternoon the same day to confirm that everything would be ready to be picked up by 5 p.m. as agreed. The lady advises us that it will go at 6 p.m. We show up at 6 p.m. to finally wait 2 hours and 40 minutes in the heat wave in the non-air-conditioned restaurant to receive our dishes at 8:40 p.m. (almost 4 hours later than initially planned). Most of the guests had left before the dishes were served. What a disaster. The food was just ok.
