What an exceptional place! It’s literally the best restaurant on the South Shore of Montreal. Even in Montreal it's difficult to find better. The simultaneous attention to ingredients and preparation ensures that your taste buds are swept away in a torrent of new yet familiar flavors. You can find all the best that our land produces there, and that’s saying something. In these days of ever-increasing prices, it's rare to get what you pay for. At the Comptoir, it’s worth it. I dream of living next door so I can eat there all the time. The menu changes every week, you know!

Excellent service, you are entitled to a very detailed description of the wines as well as the dishes, never need to run after a waiter. EXCEPTIONAL food for the price!!? It’s not even a think about it, it’s YOU DON’T HAVE A CHOICE. It is worthy of the greatest restaurants for a reasonable price. Really impressed, I recommend it to everyone!

Très belle découverte. J'ai adoré ce restaurant. Maman et moi avons pris le menu à partager pour goûter à tout. Quel bon choix. Des plats avec saveur local et recherché. Une explosion de saveur à chaque bouché. Le service est impeccable et les plats se succède à un rythme lent et c'est parfait car nous étions en mode découverte et voulions apprécier chaque moment. Le martini à la betterave fut notre coup de coeur côté boisson. Merci au COMPTOIR pour cette excellente soirée au restaurant.

Superb discovery in old St-Jean! We went there for dinner and were completely satisfied with the three courses. The dishes are excellent and refined, the portions are perfect and the service is impeccable. I recommend you give it a try, if you haven't already!
