The sushi was ok. And it was very very busy for the poor waitress and bus girl. However, despite that the lady really hustled so 5 stars for that

A $100 Disappointment — What Happened to Masako?

I don't normally write reviews, but I couldn't stay silent after this experience. Masako Plus Sushi used to be one of my favorite spots in town. I always looked forward to the chef's selection of maki tartares - they were flavorful, balanced, and generously filled with tartare.
This time? It felt like a completely different restaurant. The makis were 90% rice with barely any fish in them. I'm not exaggerating - there were bites with zero salmon at all. It was honestly shocking.

On top of that, the gyoza soups were missing their usual bok choy, another small sign of cut corners. The worst part? We paid over $100 for a meal that left us frustrated, unsatisfied, and honestly a little insulted.

I don't know what changed - management? supply issues? cost-cutting? — but the drop in quality is undeniable. I used to recommend Masako all the time, but after this, l'm not sure l'll be back.

Hands down the best sushi in town !
I love how freshly prepared all the food is, also you can feel the love they put in preparing your food ,a must try restaurant if you are around.

Thanks for all your good food ! :)

It wasn't very bad, but all the rolls (7-8 different ordered “choice of chef”) were with crab stick, the ones with fish were very small and very little fish. Photo attached.

My 2 stars goes for the service and not the menu. I called to place an order and was told to come 50 minutes later to pick it up. When I arrived and paid, I noticed that my order had not even been started and I had to wait another 40 minutes :(

Poor planning in the kitchen, too much waiting time, choice and quality of fish no better than at the grocery store.

My order was supposed to be ready at 7 p.m. I show up at the agreed time and I am informed that my order is “almost ready” and that it will only take “a few minutes”. I received my order 1 hour later! Are you late? Ok say it instead of making people wait for nothing by telling them that it will be ready in “a few minutes”. Obviously no excuse since the teenagers who work at the cash register don't know what it is.

For food:
- Everything that was fried (tempura, gyoza) was cold since obviously it was already lying on the counter when I arrived.
- “Tempura”: They claim to sell “tempura” but in fact it is Panko breadcrumbs that they use so it has nothing to do with real tempura batter. Their “ebi tempura” contains more vegetables than shrimp...
- Gyozas: lots and lots of pasta and very little stuffing which could be any protein of your choice since it doesn't taste much other than dough.
- As for fish, it's really very ordinary and we're not surprised to find ultra-industrial pollock and tilapia that taste nothing in the list of fish offered.
- Eel sushi contains almost no eel and is anyway covered in a sweet sauce which masks the taste of the fish. For what? The idea of eating sushi is to taste the fish, not any sauce whatsoever.
- Tuna and salmon in sashimi = big disappointment. Both are thawed “Super C” grade that you can buy at the grocery store. The IGA tartare quality salmon is 10 times better than that.
- the rollers are ok.

In the end, avoid sushi and sashimi and order rolls or better a dish of the kitchen's choice for an ok experience and waiting time.

When I got home I realized that I was missing half of my order, I called to tell them and the only answer they gave me was: sorry we can't do anything, we're going to watch the cameras this evening and you come back tomorrow, worst response I've had in my life.
You have just lost a customer.
