First experience at Boston Pizza.
My partner ordered a pasta dish that you create yourself. She chose the fettuccine with marinara sauce with a portion of mushrooms and a double portion of shrimp. For my part, I choose carnivorous penne. As starters we both chose onion soup. My partner also orders a 9 ounce coupe of wine and I order a “Boston” size holiday drink.
The glasses arrive, first observation my glass is very small for a Boston size at almost $14. Having no reference I leave “luck to the runner”
A few minutes later the waiter arrived with our main dishes. Anything happened with our soups? He returns to the kitchen to inquire and comes back to inform us that they are still in the oven. He tells us he will serve it to us in a few minutes. I inform him that I do not want our soups at the same time as our meal. I try to be accommodating and suggest that we eat our main dishes immediately and that he brings us the soups at the end.
Let's start with my carnivorous penne... a real delight and the temperature is perfectly adequate. Well done ! For my partner it is not the same observation. Her dish is lukewarm (almost cold at the limit) and she notices at the first bite that there is a huge lack of marinara sauce. I suggest he order a small “extra” bowl of marina sauce and ask for it very hot to compensate for the temperature of his dish. Unable to signal the server. He comes into the dining room a few times but never looks at us. My partner decides to abandon her request and starts eating. I remember that she ordered a double portion of shrimp in her dish. He
Sorely missed “small” shrimp in his dish. It’s counted… there are 9 of them! How can a double portion give an odd number? Is it a single serving or actually a double serving? We'll never know because it's still so difficult to talk to the waiter.

I hesitated between 3 or 4 stars but decided to be lenient!

Will I go back? Probably but not in the near future and I will expect a better performance next time!

Dietary restrictions: Depuis cet été, nous fréquentons le Boston Pizza, car c’est l’un des rares restaurants dans le secteur où mon enfant peut trouver un repas compatible avec ses restrictions alimentaires.

À chaque visite, nous commandons des pâtes sans gluten à la sauce tomate du menu pour enfant. Lors des six dernières visites, cela n’a posé aucun problème : un supplément de 2 $ était appliqué à l’assiette pour enfant, ce que nous trouvions compréhensible.

Cependant, aujourd’hui, on nous a informés qu’il n’était plus possible de commander des pâtes sans gluten dans le cadre du menu pour enfant. À la place, on nous a facturé un plat adulte à 18 $ pour des pâtes sans gluten à la sauce tomate. Malheureusement, cette information ne nous a été communiquée qu’au moment de recevoir la facture, et non lors de la commande, où nous avions clairement précisé que nous souhaitions un plat du menu pour enfant.

En conséquence, le jus de pomme normalement inclus dans le menu pour enfant a également été facturé en supplément. Nous avons donc payé plus de 20 $ avant taxes et pourboire pour une assiette destinée à un enfant de 2 ans.

Non seulement il n’y a eu aucun effort pour corriger l’erreur liée au manque de transparence sur les choix et les prix, mais en plus, on nous a fait sentir que c’était de notre faute, malgré le fait que cette option nous avait été proposée lors de nos six visites précédentes.

UPDATE: un suivi a été fait par le restaurant et la situation à été réglé. Le restaurant est réactif aux commentaires si une situation se produit.

I've been to Boston Pizza a few times, I love the atmosphere and the dining room, I've literally tried the entire menu, I've never been able to give more than a 6 rarely a 7 out of 10, often the dishes are lukewarm and have little flavor, service is quite long each time, cutlery and napkins are often missing, the staff is helpful and pleasant, I think the big B-mol are the cooks for 2 people always 85- 100$ including 2 drinks.

The food is completely comforting and good. It's really a shame, because the service ruins everything. I continue to go there because I like the dishes, but I'm considering going to another one soon.
But EVERY time I order or eat there there is an error in my order.
On the phone it's always complicated, I get put on hold at least 2-3 times because the person doesn't know the menu or its stock. I am being asked questions even though I have just provided the information. I always have to repeat myself several times.
The service is long, you always have to wait without being informed of what is happening. We are told that the order will be ready in 25 minutes, I go and I end up having to wait 1 hour...
Also, during breaks in hockey games, the sound is at MAXIMUM and we have to listen to all the announcements, it's really unpleasant. Is it not possible to play music?
Really poor service unfortunately. It is certain that many customers do not return because of all these unpleasant points :(
