This place is amazing. We were taken care of from the time we booked our reservation for 11 to changing the amount of people (quite a few times). We were treated as though we were friends & family. We were seated quickly, able to order drinks immediately while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. Our waitress was so patient with us as well as so much fun. We were served our food quickly and it was delicious. Some of us even ventured in trying the brown (hot) sauce. The owner also came over to our table and gave us a round of tequila shots, delicious. These shots are one of their own recipes, we recommend you try it. We really enjoyed their margaritas, also a special recipe. We will definitely be back.

Came for supper with family. Had a great meal, the food was excellent. The ambiance inside was nice and service was friendly without being too intrusive or rushed. Would highly recommend the nachos, fish tacos, quesadillas and the arrachera tacos. As the sign says life is short, eat more tacos!

Charming place! Let’s be honest… We are used to Americanizing Mexican food; however, El Gordo offers authenticity with grace and respect. Food and drinks are on point. Prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent. Owners, Francis and Martin are always on deck to help and mentor and let’s not forget Antoine & Marie, so sweet and the right wings to the vision. Great initiatives and support to all staff and customer service is stellar given by all. I always look forward to going for an after work drink and bite. It is my little vacation getaway from the crazy life. Looking forward to my next visit and your new summer menu! Bravo Team!! (My price brackets are based on wine. Suitable for all groups - yes! This restaurant is located in the former Chez Lambert restaurant in the heart of Saint-Lambert. Great service from Antoine as a walk in on a busy Saturday evening. We had the tacos al pastor and the the chicken quesadilla with margaritas.
Very very flavourful with good portions. Tender meat and great seasoning.
Everything was explained greatly by Antoine and we want to underline how great he made the experience.
We will definitely be coming back here again soon!
