Gyoka Izakaya Sushi Bar

I had a wonderful experience at Gyoka Izakaya Sushi Bar in Saint-Lambert. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The sushi rolls were outstanding, and the hot dishes were just as impressive.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. The service was also excellent—attentive, friendly, and quick. You can really feel the pride they take in their work.

Can’t stress enough how great this place is. It’s cozy and has a homey feel to it, the staff is friendly and they make good food. I’d recommend The Jalapeño Hamachi sashimi to anyone, it’s not spicy and so good. Also the Supper for 2 Deal is a good quantity of food for 80$, could probably satisfy three people even. There was mackerel, tempura and chicken, with ice cream included.

We really love this place- about the food and atmosphere and staffs.
It’s very cozy and very Japan . We enjoy the Saturday night a lot . My husband normally doesn’t eat much sashimi and sushi but he likes it a lot here .

I went to have supper with some friends for a special occasion. The restaurant has a very cozy and comfortable ambiance, you feel at ease right away.
We had multiple appetizers, but the jalapeno hamachi was by far the most incredible thing i had eaten recently. The rolls are unique, but traditional enough you don’t feel lost.
The service staff is young, funny and makes you feel at ease.
I cannot mention enough how the quality of the products is incredible and can be felt and tasted through every bite.

I’ve been coming here for the past 8 years and the Pink Lady and the Chicken Teriyaki Noodle soup are to die for. Truly an authentic Japanese experience and the decor is lovely inside. It is recommended to make a reservation considering the size of the location. Gets packed quickly. Very good reasonable price. My go-to spot for good sushi on a date or with friends.

It’s been a while since I had sushi, and this spot really hit the mark — not an all-you-can-eat place, but definitely worth it. Perfect for a date night: cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The sashimi is super fresh, and the rolls are well-balanced without too much rice. I especially enjoyed the chef’s choice sashimi plate and tried sushi wrapped in cucumber for the first time — such a refreshing twist! The sesame ice cream was a highlight: creamy, soft, and full of flavor. If you’re not sure what to order, just ask the waitress — she’s super helpful. Highly recommended!
