Disappointing, avoid

I visited the Cabane du Coureur in Saint-Amable last night, and the experience was well below my expectations. From the start, the service left something to be desired. We had to serve our own soup upon starter, which is not what I expect from a restaurant. Additionally, we had asked the waitress to leave our bottle of wine on the table, which she did not do. So we spent the meal waiting about fifteen minutes each time our glasses were empty for her to refill them.

To top it off, there was an error on the invoice. I was charged $40 for a bottle of wine listed at $35 on the menu. Honestly, I was so exasperated that I didn't even ask for correction, I just wanted to leave.

The food, however, was not up to par: I would give it a 5/10.

Finally, a rather serious incident occurred: my friends, sitting opposite me, were victims of an accident with the coffee service. The coffee carafe hit my friend's head, and her companion got hot coffee on his head and his white sweater. An unacceptable incident that could have been avoided with more precaution.

The price per person for our group of 60-70 people was $70 per head (no tax or tip, and no drinks included). In addition, the tip was added directly to the bill, with no option to modify.

In summary, I do not recommend this place. Inadequate service and repeated errors ruined what could have been a great evening.

TOO noisy!!!! The evening is spoiled by noise, no discussion possible unfortunately.
The food is good, tasty, perhaps too plentiful because everyone leaves with bags.
Overwhelmed but attentive and smiling service.
Difficult and unsafe parking with children on the side of the road, especially at night without lighting.

I went twice. The first time was the opening day, food was so delicious! And the second time was the last day which the menu had add some Haiti food but I didn’t like it. But will come back next year for sure if it’s not a Haiti menu.

After the experience at the Hôtel Rive Gauche for our wedding with the food from the Restaurant Le Coureur des Bois for us (very very gourmet customers) we were delighted ??With the request my daughter made to me for her party (TERROIR theme) I immediately thought of you.Everything was perfect!!The food, the cocktails, the wine choices, the staff...Everything was *OUTSTANDING*A big thank you!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dietary restrictions: There was a guest of mine who had a lot of dietary restrictions and we were very welcomed with a suggestion for our guest to be part of the evening.Really much appreciated.

A more refined experience. Very hearty meal. Very interesting choice of wine. Although the tables are friendly, they allow good privacy for couples.

Parking: Free valet service.

We were a family of 5 with three children and my partner and I were very disappointed... The 1st course was our favorite, the soup was delicious. However, the 2nd service was mediocre: overcooked meatballs, tasteless sausages... The 3rd service was ok, but everyone only had a teaspoon of tiramisu! For $420, it's not up to par. And everything is calculated to the nines, which is embarrassing. If I could I would request a refund. Julie

Parking: The valet was very nice!

Very good meal!Top pea and ham soupMussels and confit trout with truly succulent leek brothFougasse with cheese and truffle, we want more!Clafoutis had a little taste of coming backSausage casserole, and meat on baked beans to rework: thick beans really tasted a lot of molasses (maple syrup should be on point), dry meat. I didn't enjoy it.The other dishes were good but no medal ?The overcooked taffy on the outside is close to caramel.Thank you for the great experience, we encourage you to continue and improve the menu.
