For its price, it was very reasonable! We stayed there for one night during our trip to forestville and honestly, we had a blast! The restaurant near the auberge was good and the view... wow. I lived in Québec all my life and I had never seen a view like that! Overall very good experience!
We stayed here two nights last week. Did a call ahead and they saved us a room. Excellent room, great view, dinner was great for breakfast and dinner. Haddock was great and spaghetti was amazing! Many thanks

Quick and efficient check-in!
Simple room and does the job! Cleanliness of the room.
The geographical location is worth noting: we were able to see the whales which were just below the hostel!
Regarding meals, you can eat at the restaurant right in front of the hostel. The dishes there are correct!

We were in room #10 Thursday August 1, 2024. The room is quite nice. Sober without really decorations with a slight smell of an old convent. (Like all motels on the north coast and Gaspésie open 3-4 months a year). There have been renovations and it is very clean. The bathroom is beautiful and very clean but small. Pedestal sink, no place to put our clothes, glasses, razor and such while taking a shower. Plenty of towel and it's appreciated. Quite comfortable bed, and clean. However, no air conditioning. It was hot even with the window open...which overlooks the gallery. With the curtains open, anyone can see us inside and the outside lighting is annoying. Soundproofing faithful to the motel of the 50s and 60s. There isn't one. We hear walking on the floor above, we hear the plumbing, when someone passes on the outside gallery we feel a tremor, etc. Plastic chairs outside could benefit from a trip to the trash. Presence of a very popular capsule coffee maker. For $210 + tax and fees ($250) it was too expensive for what it is. Note for reception. The guy was nice, polite and welcoming but “a” receptionist in a T-SHIRT with logo, cargo Bermuda shorts, cap and full bearded man lacks a bit of professionalism in terms of image…

Very nice place, clean and courteous
It's a review to the restaurant, as we did not stay in the hotel. I had the poutine, it was a'PERFECT, the best poutine I had in QC, and I had a lot of poutine pretty much everywhere in Quebec. We had the soupe as well, it was fresh and the soupe of the day, so good. The waitresses were perfect, friendly, attentive and very much to details. Chapeau les filles.
Great experience.

Same owner, small motel next door (Flo Bleu motel)

The service is absolutely exceptional. The staff is understanding and empathetic. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely go there next time we pass through Saint-Simeon. Once again thank you.

Simple meal: pasta with frozen seafood, nothing very appetizing
For the braised beef, mushroom sauce, very ordinary, sauce with motons, vegetables not fresh, very disappointed
A simple hotel but super clean, impeccable, very good decoration, well cared for, and the details were super, truly an excellent hotel and if you are not satisfied with that, the view over the San Lorenzo River from where, if you are lucky, you can actually see whales. e excellent option to spend a weekend.
Rooms: Clean, comfortable and well maintained
Nearby activities: View of whales
Walkability: Along the shore of the San Lorenzo River beach
Food & drinks: In front of the hotel, 5 steps away, there is a restaurant and it is not bad and has good prices.
Noteworthy details: Very clean and pleasant place and excellent and friendly service

Decided to have dinner out and ended up having the ribs. I was craving fish & chips but apparently they don’t serve it at dinner time. There were several fish options, I would have gone for the cod but found the description unhelpful (cod and citrus fruit). However the ribs were a good choice, they were delicious and tender. No bread or roll comes with it, which I would have liked. The waitress was very abrupt but she was the only server on and therefore very busy. I asked for one dessert and two forks, we received 2 desserts which I was happy not to have had to share as it was amazing.Any seat in this restaurant has amazing views.I would have given it a 5 but felt it was understaffed and the English on the menu could do with a bit of an overhaul. Our Babbel French was not quite up to the job but it was fun trying.
