I loved my experience at this restaurant. Good prices and the food is really excellent

Terrible food and the owner's passive aggressive attitude means we will never go back there again. With an attitude like that and mediocre food I don't understand why this restaurant is still open.

Went there with my wife today and we really enjoyed it. I had a bison burger which was amazing and my wife an omelette and she called it: so, so good. But the best part was the owner/chef… attitude and grumpy like you would expect from a good chef… loved it…??

For my part, I was very disappointed with my evening at Fond du Nord despite the good comments written about this restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant around 6 p.m. which was the time of our reservation for me and my family (14 people). We waited over 40 minutes before our orders were taken by the staff. Afterwards, we waited 2 hours to start receiving our entries. Once the starters were completed, we still waited between 45 minutes to 1 hour before receiving our main dishes... To add spice to our experience, the waitress had forgotten to give us plates to eat our fondue, so I had to find plates in the room to give to my family. Some people had items missing from their plates. The staff seemed to be mixed up in their own order and it was hard to 'find'. Later in the evening, I had to open the bottles of wine that were on our table by myself with the help of a lemonade man that I found behind the bar since I had not been able to reach a waiter. So we left the restaurant around 10:30 p.m.

From a gastronomic point of view, I found the price high for the quality of the dishes served, we paid $140 before tip for their “fondue trio”. In my opinion, this choice was not worth this amount. I had read bad comments written about their cheese fondue, unfortunately, these statements were not unfounded, it was not up to the standard of a restaurant specializing in fondue.

For my part, the positive point was certainly the dessert. For this stage of the service, we were well served and the orders were respected within a short time since we were in the last tables to leave the room. In addition, I had nothing to say about the quality of the dishes served at this last service.

To conclude, I do not recommend attending this establishment when you are a larger group. Hoping it was just a bad night for this company and me and my family got unlucky. I hope this company takes this comment seriously in order to improve in their next service.

In our group of 12, no one really enjoyed their meal. The cheese fondue wasn't very cheesy, it looked like a sachet you get at the IGA. All meal fondues use the same broth, which is also nothing special and still tasted like cheap broth. The chocolate fondues were good, but they didn't serve enough fruit with it, instead serving mini marshmallows and canned cherries since more fruit is too expensive, I guess. The atmosphere was okay, and our waitress was nice too. The plastic on the cheap fondue sticks melted on the edge of the hot pots. We stopped eating before we were full. It also smelled a bit like old cigarettes when we first walked in.

First time here! The potatoes and bacon are crispy and delicious, the prices are low and the service is impeccable :) It's clean, it's big, the atmosphere is warm!I recommend x 1000!I'll spread the word, and I'll come back soon for the evening menu! The only weak point is the passive-aggressive behavior of the owner in response to the reviews of these less satisfied customers. Save your precious energy.**Mr. Owner, my review was written long before you asked me to be careful with my skates. I therefore invite you to reread me and try to understand what I am commenting on. At least it's the first time you've responded to a happy customer. Well done!**

Hello, your answer clearly demonstrates your restaurant. Lunch. Everything was medium, the omelette, ordinary. The tomatoes had a color, not red. The potatoes are cut into chips, half cooked, like bacon. The service is long. A coffee, then runs after the stove. We will not return.

Good service, nice atmosphere in the interior room. Really disappointed by the Wapiti burger, the cooking was completely lacking.
