The waitress Alex: bill for $130 I give her a 25% tip and while my mother pays she asks for more tip!!! Unacceptable... For this reason I will not return there.
Food ok but not hot but nice atmosphere.

Great place with nice atmosphere. Impeccable service and finger-licking flavor.

Nearby activities: Place to take a nice walk and discover the tides and smell the river air. Quiet and clean place.

During our tour to Québec (Nouvelle France 😄) in July, we were searching for a place to dine after a long day of activities, and we chose Capitaine Homard. It was conveniently close to our stay at the Gaspesiana Hotel. Although the restaurant was busy and full, they welcomed us and quickly prepared a table. The waitress was very helpful, recommending dishes and accommodating the changes we requested. We waited approximately 30 minutes for our main courses.

We ordered the poireau soup, linguini with smoked salmon (smoked salmon and fresh tomatoes in a creamy parmesan sauce), sea food pot au feu (crab, shrimp, scallops, and vegetables covered with puff pastry and oven-baked, served with fries and salad), and a kid’s meal trio (grilled cod with rice instead of fries, along with juice and ice cream). All three meals were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The smoked salmon in my dish was especially tasty, and I tried my son’s dish as well, which was equally yummy.

Overall, it was a great experience, and considering the price, it was affordable compared to other restaurants we visited during our tour. We loved this place and will definitely return.
