We have always enjoyed the food at Barcelos de Ste-Julie, particularly the poutines. Unfortunately, they changed the menu recently and the large poutine formats were removed, leaving only the individual formats, which are also more expensive than before. It's a disappointment for us, we might go there less often because of that because the large formats were perfect for two people :(

Absolutely disappointed with our experience at Barcellos. Mom has visited Portugal many times on trips and she asks me if I will take her to this
Portuguese restaurant near her home:
So we arrive at a restaurant with few customers, not busy and we start with shrimp pancakes; disgusting with a small canned shrimp in each patty $12 for 6 disgusting little patties. Then our dishes mom says that the chicken is good but not hot and the sauce is not edible. My meat is lukewarm, the hottest on the plate are the lukewarm fries and the meat is almost as cold as my salad with a mystery sauce.
A BIG ZERO!
Summed up: don't go here, the good people come back are probably friends and family.
Or if you're really, like -really high, then maybe you'll imagine it being edible.

I never did your sad cooking. I did the "THUMBS DOWN" and if they wanted to discuss it they could have asked why.
Mom is 90 years old, she doesn't like discussions; so I said nothing at the time but we must warn the population of your sad service, and there of your false proposals.
I would never in my life have admitted that it was not edible, especially in front of my mother.
And as for Portuguese restaurants, I'm going to stick with the one that's really good on St-Laurent in Montreal.
You are pitiful with your accusations, it will never improve your quality.

The restaurants atmosphere is very clean, and has a variety of decorative items and has nice comfortable seating to eat. The food is very delicious and has original Portuguese seasoning, it takes me back to Portugal. The staff team is very nice , welcoming and friendly ! The food didn’t take long to come aswell. I totally recommend!

the poutine had rotten chicken and a hair in it.
since they changed their chef. It's not a good restaurant.
I came 2 years later, I now had chicken bones in my poutine and chicken cartilage.
