Already at 7 p.m., there was no blackened fish left, but I was not disappointed by the jambalaya -- divine! I'm not really a fan of spicy food, but here the pepper was perfectly balanced: spicy, yes, but nothing unbearable and adding depth to the dish, pairing perfectly with the tomato. I think I'm going to get addicted!Mention to our waitress: cordial, considerate, she took the trouble to come and tell us that our dishes would arrive in a few minutes after a certain waiting time (nothing dramatic there!) rather than leaving us in the dark, like This happens too often in other restaurants. Managing expectations makes all the difference.

The ONLY restaurant where I consider the food to exceed what I make at home (most restaurants are a massive disappointment. Not him!)Superb terrace, staff who seem to trip hard, extensive menu and wine listsVery "central" in Valleyfield (rather important because the atmosphere encourages you to raise your elbow!)Surprisingly reasonable price levelA must try if you are in the area

An unforgettable 40th Wedding anniversary dinner! Thank you Nouvelle-Orléans! An absolute hidden gem! This establishment has it all. The ambiance is warm, welcoming and the staff are way above par. (Merci, mille fois, Martine!) The food? Way above average. We started with cocktails, I discovered the "Banana Bomb" , an adult version of a banana popsicle, it was wonderful. My husband went with a spicy Caesar and reported it exceeded his expectations. For an appetizer, I chose the crab cakes. Seasoned to perfection, 2 clouds of crab heaven, the presentation was such that I hesitated to dig in. They were light in texture and prepared just so amazingly, I contemplated ordering more however, our entrées were on their way. My husband chose the Creole shrimp and rice, I went with a fried shrimp dish and a sweet potato fries side. The shrimps were huge and so tender. My dish was again, seasoned and prepared perfectly. My husband was also very impressed with the seasoning and texture of his as well. Now to the nitty-gritty; the prices are more than reasonable and combined with the ambiance, welcoming staff and exceptional dishes, this is a "MUST VISIT" for all fans of Cajun/Créole cuisine.

A real gem in Valleyfield. The appetizer and main course was perfect. A real tasty delight. And the New Orleans cocktail was terrific. I will certainly go back when I am there.

We've been here a couple of times and enjoy the intimate atmosphere, the upscale bar menu and most of the menu.Sometimes the more popular dishes sell out early (we've never had the crab cakes). The menu is fairly authentic, but could do with some changes- you can get a cheese burger, steak and fries or fish and chips anywhere. If you're looking for something different- a new world of flavors and fun cocktails in a more private setting this cozy place is definitely worth experiencing at least twice.
