Honestly, what the hell is happening to dewies. People leave reviews on google and they get deleted because they said the reality of whats happening at the cafeteria. The food options are so trash this year, since sodexo left the food hasn't been good at all. Everyday if you look at the stations nothing looks good almost except the fast food station where everyone orders. The food is tasteless and bad. Staff are friendly but they look like they weren't trained. How come the library cafe has better options than a cafeteria where residence students have to pay 800$ a month to eat fast food most of the time. Aramark please do better, our money is not worth spending it here. Dont get me even started with the coffee machine that braks every week and that has now disappearššš

Where to begin...
First. Students are not allowed their bags in the dining hall. Students are not allowed to take food out to their rooms in containers. Why does this establishment not cater to Students who need to study and cant afford to waste time to go eat?
Second. The food is sometimes inedible. Undercooked chicken tenders? Overcooked pasta? Unseasoned. Bland. I dont blame the workers. I blame the establishment. Their training is lacking. How can a crepe be burned and undercooked????
Third. The espresso machine. That damn thing costs $30 000 and in the last 4 times I went to get a coffee in the morning, 3 of those times there was something wrong with the damn thing. First it was broken and needed maintenance. Second they had no more beans (A CAFETERIA THAT SERVES COFFEE RAN OUT OF BEANS IN THE MORNING) third, they had to clean it. Now I could have waited half an hour. But the issue is that they should not be cleaning it at 10:00 in the morning. Machines and equipment should be cleaned at night... you know... when people dont usually get coffee.
I dont understand why I am paying $800 a month for this garbage. And its not like I chose to take the meal plan. I had no choice.
If the school forces us to buy the meal plan, MAKE IT GOOD.

Dewhurst Dining Hall, affectionately known as Dewies, is a true culinary gem on campus! This innovative eatery is not only dedicated to offering delicious, balanced meals, but is also at the forefront of food sustainability with its amazing menu of insect-based dishes.
What really stands out about Dewies is their commitment to sustainable ingredients, and their insect dishes are a perfect example of this. For those who have not yet tried insect protein, Dewies offers a unique opportunity to enjoy incredibly tasty and nutritious meals, while contributing to the well-being of the planet. Not only are insects an extremely rich, low-fat source of protein, but they also require fewer resources to produce compared to traditional meats.
A favorite among students is the āCricket Salad,ā where roasted crickets add a delicious crunch to a fresh mix of organic vegetables. The Taco de Chapulines is also popular, full of flavor and a perfect combination of textures. Additionally, for those with a more adventurous palate, the Mealworm Smoothie is a culinary experience that mixes innovation with natural ingredients and is suitable for all tastes.
Dewies' team of chefs ensure that each dish is perfectly balanced, without sacrificing flavour. Each bite is full of creativity and respect for nature, making the experience more than just a meal: it is a step towards the future of sustainable food.
Without a doubt, Dewhurst Dining Hall has established itself as the ideal place for those students who are looking for more than just a meal: they are looking for a positive impact on the world. Dewies is a benchmark in how food can be nutritious, delicious and environmentally responsible!

The food is disgusting and I always have to come with the expectation that either I am not going to eat or I am going to eat something raw like chicken or meat. Takes me at least 30 min to an hour to decide what I am going to eat. There is not even healthy food. It is all processed and junk food. The people that work there just want to finish the meal that they are preparing for you and not take their time and do it for you properly. Not even that, they are rude and show you as if they are annoyed that they are preparing you a meal. A smile on their face and talking to the person while preparing the meal is a crucial aspect to improve the service.

Awkward at first because we showed up at a college campus. But once we figured out where we're going, it was a delicious meal, interesting atmosphere.
Parking: You need to go to the door That is almost to the side of the building. The entrance in the front is locked.
Kid-friendliness: Showed up with our 5-year-old. It was plenty of pizza and stuff for her to try and she absolutely loved the dessert varieties.

The service is awful. The staff are so rude and snippy. Twice I had raw chicken in my stir fry ā there is a severe lack of protein in the meals as it is, and when there is meat, itās grey, undercooked, or smothered in sugary sauce. Itās always sticky and too salty, and thereās been moldy bread and fruit on multiple occasions. F this place for real

Lunch is a buffet for $15. The nouritie was excellent, you can have ice cream and desert in addition to the meal. It was totally worth the trip.

The guy in charge of Dewies called us crazy after we wrote anonymous reviews stating the truth about the food. Also, pro tip if you write an anonymous complaint they will track you down with the security cameras :)
Dietary restrictions: also if you have dietary restrictions don't go there.
