Expérience culinaire incroyable. Propriétaires dévoués. Un incontournable sur la rive-sud côté gastronomique! Sans blague, je recommande fortement! En plus, vous pouvez apporter votre vin. J’y retourne à 100% plusieurs fois. Je veux essayer tout leur menu! Tout était délicieux!

Cozy restaurant with great service! It’s pleasure to dine there . I was disappointed with the grilled calamari, they didn’t taste much of anything .But the rest of the food was great with amazing large portions :) !

My experience at Viana-Sol was excellent! The food is very tasty, the atmosphere is nice and the waiters are very friendly. We were a group of 12 people and they took great care of us. Definitely coming back!

Caldo Verde is very good
Pastel de bacalhau is not homemade and not good way too much potatoes!
Our server was very pleasant at the beginning of the service but rushed us out at the end of the evening.
We won't go back
3 person bill 300.00$ wasn't worth it.
Bring your own alcohol.

Food: mediocre -> pasta penne (vegetarian) for 30$
Service:
Management refused to serve a pre- bought cake to serve at group party, and instead said would charge 5$ extra per person (14ppl) just to serve the cake.

When a patron chose not to tip the waitress due to the treatment received, the waitress turned to shaming that person (if front of the 13 other companions) by asking what part of her service wasn’t good that she didn’t deserve a tip and actually asked if they didn’t have enough money to tip. As a patron, I regret having tipped that waitress myself with that type of entitlement and disregard for patrons.

They don’t accept credit cards because they have to pay a fee.

With poor management decisions, unacceptable attitude/behaviour and entitlement from the waitress, and overpriced and mediocre food, I didn’t enjoy my experience. We will not be going back, nor will we recommend this place to anyone else.

Management chose not to reform their policies or adapt to the situation, but to lose clients to save a buck instead. All we remember is: what we couldn’t do and how the waitress behaved for her tip. 👎👎👎

We ordered for the first time. Excellent new taste of Portuguese chicken and tasty French fries. It’s very salty so you may want to order drinks or have water handy. Totally recommend!

My new favourite resto! My husband discovered it because of its stellar ratings. When we pulled up I was a touch concerned - how good could a restaurant be that's situated in a strip mall? Answer: unbelievably good! When we walked in, I was very surprised by the ambiance. The decor is welcoming, cozy and inviting, and looks more like a place you would find in St Sauveur. Everyone who works there is warm, friendly and helpful, and we had a fantastic server - thanks Amelie! As for the meals? Oh my. My husband and I were blown away by the wide range of choices on the menu and how delicious everything was. I got the maple salmon on the table d'hote (please add it to the menu full time, it instantly became my favourite meal of all time) and my husband got the Portugese chicken plate. Everything was delectable, including the fresh generous side salad and the hot, tasty fries (yum). Even the veggies and rice were extra delish. The prices are very reasonable, considering how high-end the experience is, and it's even BYOW. I highly recommend Viana Sol! I know, I know, a bit out of the way, but trust us, it's well worth it.

Food was ordinary some was cold. The poutine was good tasting but soggy due to the very liquid sauce. Food is very expensive for what it is and the fact that they do not accept credit cards should lower prices.
The service was excellent and friendly.
Will not return or refer anyone.

Lovely family restaurant bring your own wine. I called for a Take Out order. Delicious chicken and generous portions.

On the other hand, the fries were not fresh and the rice lacked flavor. I'll try again for sure before giving a final opinion.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering the Viana Sol restaurant in St-Hubert, on the south shore of Montreal, and I can only recommend this charming place. The menu is incredibly varied, with special attention paid to my allergies, especially regarding cross-contamination with gluten, which really reassured me.

The welcome was exceptional, warm and attentive, which immediately set the mood in the restaurant. The dishes were perfectly executed: balanced seasonings, perfect harmony between flavors, and delicious accompaniments. Plus, it’s rare to find a restaurant that offers kangaroo on the menu, which was a nice surprise!

Viana Sol achieves the perfect marriage between traditional Portuguese cuisine and modern touches of haute cuisine, all with a subtle French influence. A quality culinary experience, while remaining faithful to the roots and authenticity of Portuguese cuisine.

Don't forget to bring your wine. 😎

Finally, a little extra: you can also leave with Portuguese products to add a gourmet touch to your Christmas baskets. A place to absolutely discover for lovers of good cuisine and authenticity!
