We were there with a couple of friends on a Saturday evening. There was the large room which was occupied by a large reservation, so we take into consideration that the service there may have been impacted because of that.

It was actually very long between services and at one point we just didn't have any news from our server and he arrived at the end asking for permission to bring the invoices. We really felt like we had to leave.

We had the plate of cheeses, cold meats and oysters. The oysters were good and meaty. Concerning the cheeses, we had 2 kinds on our platter, nothing exceptional and finishing with the cold cuts, there was only one kind of meat but it was very tasty and I really liked it! The platter came with small marinated cauliflowers, which I liked. The sweetbreads were good, but the sauce on which it was placed was not the best pairing.

Our friends had the 6oz beef tartare. They were satisfied overall. The tartare is a little sweet, but that must suit some people. The tartar was not spicy, however. Likewise, we had waited for the server to return after dropping off the meals to find out if things were going well to ask for spicy/hot sauce and he never came back. The brioche buns are good, but not enough for such a large tartare and as a sharing dish.

As a main course, they also had the steak as well as the gemelli dish with buffalo cheese. About the same comments from their side also in relation to the steak and the pasta dish were not exceptional. It’s very basic dough and sauce.

My boyfriend had the steak plate. The pieces were not equal to each other and therefore cooking was impacted. These are pieces of meat in their own juice, technically it wouldn't be bad, but it was a little bland in terms of taste. The pieces were placed on asparagus. He didn't like his dish so much because of the cooking. The side dishes are extra, we had mushrooms and fries. The mushrooms were okay, the fries were good.

For my part, I had the Cornish chicken. I am fine too. I wasn't impressed, but the chicken wasn't dry. I didn't really understand why put square potatoes in the bottom. They became all soft.

Nice selection of wine. We had a bottle of Greek wine and the wine was excellent and the price very good.

No dessert! What a surprise ! Looking at other menus from the past and on old meal cards, there were desserts. The nothing! It’s a real shame to leave a restaurant hungry and not even have the chance to finish the meal with something sweet!

In short, we relied on online reviews, photos and past menus. I have the impression that this season's menu is not as good as the past menu. The photos of the meals we looked at online were much more tempting than what we had on our plate!

Maybe we'll try our luck again one day with a new card!

Saturday evening June 29, there were more than 31 people celebrating our wedding! What a MAGNIFICENT choice! From reception to departure, everything was perfect! I can describe the entire Xavier team as EXCELLENT hosts. All the dishes delighted the finest and most demanding palates! Everything was sorted like clockwork WOW! The food 5* The staff 5* The Service Outstanding 5* The music 5* The atmosphere 5* The Bar 5* All this contributes to making our event a dream wedding in a historic building which in addition to Being impeccably preserving its decor is worthy of the most demanding. A work of art ! Without further words Le Xavier is now our restaurant of choice for all our occasions! Thank you to all of you !

Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions and allergies were handled privately with the guests concerned and the chef created a masterpiece to the delight of the guests and their taste buds. Bravo and thank you!

We arrived at 6:30 p.m. starters were served at 8:00 p.m. Despite this delay, several items were missing from our order. I would add that when we arrived, we asked to be left with the pitcher of water. the waitress refused, telling us she would come back often, but never came back. We wanted to get another bottle of wine, but the waitress never came back either. No water, no wine… After mentioning that we had to leave at 9:15 p.m., we had to get up at 9:20 p.m. because we had been waiting for our bills for over 20 minutes. Excellent food and atmosphere. Polite service but disappointing if you are at all hungry.

It started well but quickly deteriorated with very average service. The duck is super difficult to chew and rather poorly cooked. Rotten salad that made my girlfriend sick during the night. Cocktails for $15 with more ice than drinks. Mojito with rotten mint leaves.... Really disappointed for a $200 dinner, we'd better go elsewhere.

We organized a conventum event (10-year post-secondary reunion) at Xavier. There were around 110 people, and the restaurant was entirely reserved for us.We had an exceptional evening. Yannick, the owner, was generous with his time and made sure to offer us the best service for this evening. The food was excellent; everyone was delighted. The food is entirely homemade. Well done chef Eli! The servers were attentive to our needs and efficient.Thank you for this memorable evening! Many will certainly return to Xavier this summer!
