Lack of food, cold and unstable service. Very charming staff but left to their own devices. Reception organization to be completely reviewed. Probably a big lack on the part of the management.

The cocktails are good! I enjoyed the mac and cheese, but there was perhaps a little too much onion for my liking. The portion was gigantic!

Very good but the service very slow, the reason for the 3 stars

We went to lunch and the wait time to be served was very long. It took a good 20 minutes before we got the kids' hot chocolates and about 1 hour and 15 minutes before we were served lunch. When we received our plates, there were errors and for some they were cold. Otherwise the food was good. In short, it doesn't make me want to go back there because of the service and the waiting time. Someone we know had the same effect for dinner the week before.

Nous sommes habituellement très satisfaits et nous recommandons depuis toujours La porte d’à côté pour les déjeuners, c’est « notre spot ». On aime l’ambiance, les prix et la nourriture. Cependant ce matin, nous avons choisis de se lever et de quitter le restaurant, après 20 minutes. Il y avait 4 jeunes étudiants derrière le conptoir à l’entrée, qui n’avait ps l’air de savoir quoi faire pendant que nous n’avons ps eu de café, ni verre d’eau. Pas de « un instant je vous apporte le café.. » rien. Bref, un commentaire quie se veut constructif…. Un restaurant déjeuner sans un simple café…. C’est boff.

French service which means no service difficult to note something that does not exist however the food is excellent

Marie provided great service 5/5. One has to keep in mind that Thetford Mines is far from populated areas and most restaurants are still struggling after the pandemic. I had the cauliflower as an appetizer which I highly recommend with a strong 4/5 . The fish and chip rate as 3/5 because of the batter that resembles something that would be on chicken strips. It is way too hard although the fish was still flaky. If you are in the area and want an inexpensive meal you should visit but manage your expectations.

This winter we ate 2 hours of waiting to receive our main course and the meal was not very hot. If I would go back, good question.

Great food if you wanna have a quick bite

Very disappointed. I looked at the reviews on this restaurant this morning and the fact of not having the beers on the menu seems to have been a recurring problem for several years. In short, if the supplier does not provide, change. Most microphones have a slate that they change according to availability.
As for the food....ordinary!
Firstly, the wait is endless. We arrived around 5 p.m. and the restaurant was empty. Despite that, nothing to do.
I ordered a classic Smoke meat and what I received was a panini. I informed the waitress and she replied that the sandwich received was the correct one. The smoke meat here is it!!
Cold and soft fries. We'll come back for the "homemade" fries Oh yes, take the time to place the meat in the sandwich otherwise you'll see that it's a lump heated in the microwave.
As for the chicken skewer, it lives up to its name very well, the shy one. Small 3/4 inch cube overcooked.
I don't understand what that's used for these days. 3rd course, burger with poutine option. Cheese not fresh and again, cold.

By the way, wash your windows, it's pretty disgusting.

I had a good appreciation of this micro brasserie after coming to eat there 3 times with my partner without any problem. So I decide to take my parents there for a visit. Total disappointment: only 3 tables occupied but after 20 minutes there was still no one to take the order. Finally I had to go to the bar because they had forgotten us! the waitress arrives to tell us that after 8 p.m. we can only order starters....it was 8:05 p.m. It makes you wonder if they didn't forget our table on purpose.

I liked the food there, it's very good, I recommend the general tao which is very well put together and executed, a beautiful dish with a beautiful presentation with the small slice of orange gently placed. In terms of alcohol, good variety, plus 1 for the IPA du nord est en fue which almost seems to be a rare commodity in several establishments

We stopped at this place because we wanted to do a beer tasting before dinner. When we arrived, we waited a good 30 minutes at least before someone came to see us. We then ask for a tasting platter each. On the other hand, the waitress tells us that there are only one or two choices of beers left and suggests that we take a 20oz instead. A little disappointing for a microbrewery. Okay, that's what we do. We ordered starters and main courses. We were never offered glasses of water throughout the meal. 40 minutes later, she brings my partner's starter as well as the main dishes. I mentioned to her that I didn't have my starter of cheese sticks, she thought her colleague had brought it and suggested that I take it out. I told him to let it go, I'll be satisfied with my meal. The portions are generous, my partner's poutine was excellent as was his popcorn chicken starter. On the other hand, he did not have the French onions that came on the poutine as indicated on the menu. For my chicken dragon bowl, it was okay but nothing more. I think the lack of manpower meant that the service was poor, but there were still three on the floor... Some tables left because the service was just really slow and of poor quality while others returned their plates. I would not recommend this place.
