Le Baril Roulant - Pub Val-David

Super nice hostel, affordable and comfortable in shared dormitory. Beautiful festive atmosphere (good micro beers) and conducive to creativity (thanks to the waiter for the sticky paper so I could make my vision board). The shower in the dorm is super nice, rock floor. Beautiful space and very close to the river. We will come back :)

Where are your potatoes?

Enjoyable ambiance, food was tasty, but service was lacking (nice but prganization was all over the place). 25+ mins (twice!) to get our beers after ordering, 1h15mins to get our food. Had to request the beer three times each time to eventually get somewhere.

We came for dinner here, it was perfect. Wide choice of beers, well recommended by the waitress who was adorable, smiling and attentive. The food was really good and the portions were more than sufficient. A real favorite

I actually came to this restaurant about ten years ago and it was great.

This restaurant was the worst experience of my life.

The food was cold
It took 1h30 min to get a nacho plate.
The nachos came at the same time as the main plate
The fries were cold.
The logos were cold.
They had nor more cocktails cause they did not have the ingredients
And the food was a good try in being different and modern cooking but it fell short
The kids did not eat their plate and it was a disaster

It was so bad we didn't rip the waiters

Remarkable welcome and an unparalleled atmosphere where you quickly feel at home and even more ☺️. There is a lightness and contagious good humor that emanates from all the staff!! We slept in a dormitory and the cleanliness was great!! Very satisfied with our stay!!

The beer is excellent, the service is impeccable but the food is expensive for the quantity and taste. The fries were undercooked and although it was very fresh, I was expecting something much tastier given the appearance and ingredients.

Disappointing service, waiting 15 minutes at the entrance before receiving a slight greeting from the waiters and being able to sit down even though the tables are empty.
The meat of the burger was raw, the potatoes of the poutine were burnt and the dominant spice of the Far West poutine was thyme... Phew!

The gin and tonics... Disappointing.

Don't waste your time going there.We had taken the trouble to make a reservation, but once we arrived there, we waited 10 minutes standing at the entrance to the restaurant (I specify that there was no queue), because the Sign indicated to wait until we were given a table. The waitress at the bar even saw us, but no one came to us. A customer had to stand up from the back of the restaurant to tell us to stop waiting, because no one would come to assign us a place…So we found a table ourselves and waited another 15 minutes with no staff member coming to see us, not even to greet us, offer us water or bring us a menu...nothing.My partner and I obviously left there, extremely disappointed by the non-existent service of this place, all the more surprised that the restaurant was not packed…We found another restaurant where the staff knows how to serve their customers. The funny thing about all this is that obviously we weren't the only ones leaving Le Baril Roulant, because the gentleman who had warned us that no one would come for us had also decided to move to this other restaurant with his partner. , because they too have never been served.What a disappointment, what a lack of professionalism on your part. In short, it is certain that we will never set foot in this place again.

Les bières de cette microbrasserie sont plutôt insipides pour leurs prix exhorbitants Je suis un adepte de la bière de Micro et ça ne me dérange pas que le prix soit élevé, mais le produit doit être exceptionnel ce qui est loin d'être le cas ici 👎 Des bières "normales" bcp trop cher pour la qualité offerte À éviter si vous aimez vraiment la bière bien brassée et bien balancée *de plus, les propriétaires donnent un rabais si on paye en argent comptant, je doute de la légalité de ceci mais bon...

I'm vegan and there were several choices! It was delicious, definitely worth making again. Impeccable service!

We ate the wild boar hotdogs as well as the brie & prosciutto pizza. Both exploded with flavors.

Interesting option on the main street of Val-David. Good beers, good attention and very good music.
