Casse-Croute du Lac Pizza & Shawarma

This place is definitely a must visit! Fadi was so welcoming to us from the minute we stepped through the door. He even took the time to ask us how well we wanted our fries done! He took the time to ask where we are coming from and what we do for a living. I can’t forget to mention how he makes all of his food fresh! Very nice touch!

During over conversation he also showed us around his kitchen which was really cool. I noticed our poutines sitting on the side while he was showing us the kitchen and I saw that he layers the poutines!!!!! Cheese curds, fries, cheese curds and then gravy - the right way to do it!

Overall this is somewhere I can confidently recommended. Genuine people aren’t easy to find these days and Fadi is great! Food is great! Location is great!

We are addicted to the staff and food. ALWAYS so fresh. No need to be driving to the city for good Shawarma… we have the best right here in our backyard.

Super nice owner. Had swarma and poutine. They were ok, but did not live up to other reviews. Cheese on poutine was definitly not cheese curds.

Best poutine I've had in years! Perfect ratio of curds/fries/sauce, 10/10 would recommend! Fadi was also super friendly and been in the business over 30 years!

Tons of character but unfortunately gross. My hot dog was short, stubby and grey (and steamed- au vapeur). Poutine was underwhelming. Too bad because the place has so much character, however, we won't be back.

A nice roadside stop with friendly service and good value for money. The indoor seating area is quite small, so if the weather is pleasant, sitting outside is a much better option.

Very disappointing Poutine. Sauce tasted old and everything mushy. Don't understand all the positive reviews. I wouldn't recommend this place for Poutine.

Great road stop restaurant! Excellent fresh cut fries and generous pizzas. We ate outside at picnic tables. They even had a good vegan falafel platter.

Amazing service, very friendly and eager to please. Very generous portion sizes, 2 family sizes could feed 8-10 people comfortably.
