Disgusting. Really very disappointed, I usually go to l'oeufrier, especially in Montreal. I was frankly disappointed, lousy service, no water and we were ignored. My pancakes were dry and the custard LIQUID. I was given a small jar of syrup, the rotten strawberries hidden in the middle of the pancakes. When I asked if that's what custard was, she said yes and that's how they get it. They didn't even offer to change it. I feel sick now and want to throw up plus $34 for nothing. Very disappointing. never again

However, we decided not to return, mainly because of the service of one waitress in particular. She generally works weekends and is the oldest on the team. This place was good and pretty, it's a nice breakfast place, quick and friendly service. Coffee wise it's pretty good, I got a cappuccino, it was very good. The chorizo omelette, did not like too much, the chorizo felt a little raw, not the best combo. The pancake tacos were good and tasty, also very filling. But they have a loooot of different choices and I have tried other dishes in the past and they were good, so I would recommend ?

L'Oeufrier de Varennes unfortunately disappointed us today. We chose this place rather than a competing chain for its proximity and the mashed potatoes. Around 10 a.m., the air conditioning was working at full blast, so much so that our dishes, which were served hot-lukewarm, became cold in no time. I'm not naturally cold, but I must say that it was particularly unpleasant, especially since we were near an air outlet duct. I was later explained by the waitress that it was due to great difficulty in air conditioning at the beginning of the afternoon due to the sun, I still do not believe that it is necessary to maintain the location at 18 degrees before noon.
That being said, the taste of the food was there, the portions are unfortunately reduced compared to pre-covid years (but it is a generalized problem).
The service was pleasant when offered. The waitress came to take our orders and we didn't see her again, there was no more milk in the basket for the coffees, I mentioned it but the situation was never corrected, I didn't had no coffee refill either...
I finally had to get up to go and hook up our waitress (who had been talking with someone else for several minutes) to get some takeout (so that we could reheat and finish our meal in comfort). of our house) and the invoice.
In the end, our experience boils down to (only) lukewarm coffee, lukewarm plates, discomfort due to the cold and absent service and $70 less in our pockets..
But it's ok, next time we'll go back to Ben&Florentine! :)
