Excellent century-old restaurant with a decor style of the 80s and 90s which gives it its particular charm. The food was excellent and well cooked. This is an excellent restaurant to discover typical Quebec food like poutine.

Dietary restrictions: When asked for a certain ingredient causing allergies in the sauces, the waitress was able to confirm the presence of this ingredient in order to allow the customer to choose a safe choice for their health.
We drove 1.5 hours to get to Café Anselme today. As on our first visit, we loved the poutine. They make their own brown sauce and it is delectable. The fries are homemade with real potatoes. Not like McDonald's. And the cheese is local and squeaks like no other. The best in Quebec! I ordered the Expo (with sausages, cooked onions) and my wife the burger (with ground steak and cooked onions). Both delicious but I have a weakness for the Expo. For dessert we had a maple grandfather...
We went there twice, the place is small but for the rest nothing to complain about.
The meals don't cost a fortune, the plates are full and hot, the service is perfect maybe just their glasses of juice are small otherwise everything is perfect

Parking: Not much parking near the first time we went we had to walk a bit

Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible
