It’s best to take a room only package and eat at the restaurants in town. The meals are served cold, the food could probably be good, but needs to improve, the service is also not at par for the prentended gastronomic location.

We enjoyed our 4th stay at this fabulous resort and were not disappointed! We booked the Two Nights in the Park package, which we highly recommend. Firstly, you cannot beat the gorgeous setting of this inn which is too beautiful to aptly describe. The river, the falls, the trees, the Muskoka chairs positioned perfectly to enjoy the views, the sounds of nature. Spectacular and peaceful! The dining experience is impressive. The food is delicious - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every meal we experienced was so delicious. And dining while enjoying the spectacular views just made everything more perfect. Our accommodations were lovely. We always choose to stay in the old mill building which overlooks the rushing falls. Our room was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The spa is beautiful and the treatments were perfect. All staff were friendly, from front desk to restaurant servers to bar servers to cleaning staff to spa staff. A quick walk into the town is both scenic and easy. Wakefield has a lot to offer… I highly recommend this beautiful resort. We will be back!

We have lived in Ottawa for 55 years and go to Wakefield frequently but have never climbed the hill to le Moulin. What a wonderful, beautiful place. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will return. Our room was well designed and large with a beautiful view from huge windows. The breakfast in Muse was too fancy. I would like to see some simple items on the menu. All in all we will return

Excellent service, beautiful rooms, amazing picturesque grounds, bonfire evenings. Very clean (and I am very critical of hotel cleanliness). Next time I will plan a longer stay and take advantage of the spa :)

An amazing romantic and relaxing getaway. We loved the ecolodge - Queen and King rooms are both lovely and just a short stroll to the main dining lodge and spa. Last year we had a room on the ground floor with a cute patio. This year we had a room on the second floor with a big patio door and view of the trees. Both wonderful. Food is delicious, pool and hot tubs are wonderful and massages are divine. Can't wait to go back again!

This is a nice hotel based in an old stone mill. Staff are welcoming and there are hot tubs and a swimming pool onsite as well as a spa. The rooms in the old mill are rather small with intermittent loud rumbling AC. There is a newer wing with larger rooms. The food is good and well-presented, but not spectacular. I would give it 3 stars. The surrounding area is pretty with lots of forested trails for hiking.

What can I say....food, accommodations, staff, spa and amenities are A+! The surroundings are so picturesque and relaxing, you won't want to leave. Also, the town of Wakefield is a walkable distance with several shops to explore.

Had supper there for the first time. My husband and I both had Caesars to start that had no taste or flavour. Terribly watered down. I had their fish and chips and he had their burger. Fish was way over cooked and tartar sauce had the consistency of ranch dressing. Worst fish and chips I ever had. The burger was not much better. They say to always give a restaurant a second chance but that will never happen. The meal with tip (yes I still gave a tip) cost us $92.00. Not worth the time or money.

Good lunch spot! We had a quick lunch there upon our arrival in Wakefield. We had asian noodle salad and the burger! Both were very good. Quick service and kind people.

Fine establishment on the water however the menu could be better and the Filet Mignon quesadillas was very disappointing. The wine selection is also very poor.

Our order of wild trout infused with delicate flavours and served on a bed of beet risotto was an eating experience. The chunks of beet in the risotto was a lovely surprise and accompanied the trout so well. The side salad with a mixture of greens and onions was so refreshing. The chocolate cheesecake was out of this world. Hopefully these restrictions will end soon and we can go back to enjoy the overall atmosphere of this unique restaurant in such a lovely setting.

Great patio and prompt service. Smaller menu than what’s on website (COVID) Some interesting options (elk, duck...) I tried the smoked salmon pasta and it was good but not great - big portion though! I perhaps should have went for the blueberry grilled cheese which looked amazing. Wings were delish to start - super saucy! Friends had the grain bowl and duck poutine and really enjoyed them.
