My wife and I stayed for an overnight getaway and enjoyed a 3 course dinner (with added amuse Bouche) and full breakfast the following morning.
The food was fantastic from selection, quality ingredients, appetizing plating to the incredible flavours that married together to create an indescribable dining experience.
I want to express an extended token of gratitude by highlighting the incredible service by our waiter (Marc-Anthony (spelling?)) as well as the entire frontline and kitchen staff. As I was somewhat out of my element with regard to fine-dining, the staff was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. They truly completed the dining experience in the most positive way imaginable. Marc-Anthony is a pleasant and knowledgeable individual who is very perceptive and able to stay one-step-ahead of the customers he waited on so as to create the most comfortable dining experience possible.
My wife and I both left feeling satisfied that the experience was well worth the money and we are already planning our next visit.

We had the pleasure to experience the fine dining 5 course meal at "La Muse" in the Moulin de Wakefield.

The ambiance is very nice and the service was great! The food received in the discovery menu was very good, other than the marinated leeks - everything was delicious!

We will be going again for sure!

Give them a chance, you just might find your favourite place for fine dining at it's best that you can rarely find elsewhere in a quaint little peaceful country setting place like the Moulin of Wakefield!

Very disappointed… for a lunch worth $75, I should have gone to my little local restaurant. Quality of food compared to price, it's ridiculously expensive for what we offer. The Benedictines are overcooked and cold on a piece of baguette and barely any sauce. It was very dry.
Service upon entering, 4 girls behind the bar and not one who greeted us when we arrived and service that would have its place at the Cage aux sports.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Wakefield Mill Hotel and part of the package was a meal at the muse. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Dietary restrictions: My wife and I are both gluten and corn free.

We arrived at around 2:30 for a late lunch. The magical atmosphere of the mill enveloped us and we enjoyed quiet conversations and the anticipation of a good meal. I particularly enjoyed the art on the wall, in fact I may go back for one of the paintings.
For lunch, my travelling companion ordered a simple hamburger and fries, and I ordered the catch of the day. It's hard to mess up a hamburger and fries, so my travel companion was satisfied.
The catch of the day was promising -- two pieces of halibut on a bed of vegetables, with caviar.
However, the dish was almost inedible. The "caviar" was bitter with salt, the vegetables were undercooked and bland and the fish had no discernible flavour. The whole thing was beyond saving -- aside from the salty "caviar", it was overpriced and tasteless.
I asked for dessert and I was told that they had no dessert at that time -- which restaurant does not keep any dessert in their fridge?
However, the waitress, Mathilde, was wonderful and brought me 2.5 (two and a half) micro biscotti with my coffee.
It's worth going there for the atmosphere and maybe for a beer. If you enjoy traditional food I think hamburger and fries are pretty safe, but do not try any gourmet combination -- you would pay a steep price for something indiscernible that you can easily mess up at home.
A special thanks to Mathilde for being so personable and kind.

Parking: It was a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot was full, but with a little patience we found a place for our car.

We’ve been there many times over the years and never had any issues. Food was always excellent as the service and ambiance was. They were able to meet dietary restrictions without compromise in quality. Something difficult for some other restaurants.

Beautiful town worth seeing anytime time of the year. Will absolutely return.

Discovery menu, 5 courses, which took 3.5 hours. Lots of long breaks between services: really too long. We were served sweetbreads as a main course. Too tucked away for non-experts: 6 people around, including me, turned our plates over. Very expensive and disappointing experience. We chose the food/wine pairing and received very small quantities (<2 oz) of each wine at each course. A bottle is therefore a wiser choice. EXCEPTIONAL service from Marie 💕 who saved our evening.

The setting was wonderful, and the waiter was extremely nice - but seemed a little challenged as she got more tables. We had the five course discovery meal (5 small courses chosen by the chef) to celebrate our anniversary, and the first two appetizer courses (a fish and duck), and the main (sweet bread) were excellent. The cheese course was poor, and the dessert (rhubarb with whipped cream-like base) was lackluster. We had a similar tasting menu at Beckta Dining in Ottawa a few days before, and Beckta hit perfection on food and service on every course at nearly exactly the same time price point. Really nice place, but the value of the discovery meal was less than I had hoped.

An experience. My daughter and I came for two days for a sedate break. The ambience. The wine. The service was exceptional. It was fun that the details of each course was explained. It was a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
Was terrific. Location is truly outstanding.

We came for brunch on a beautiful sunny autumn day. Really you couldn't ask for a nicer setting this time of year. We were able to have a seat in the dining room with a view of the waterfall with the colors of the leaves just starting to change.
Probably one of the prettiest spots to have a brunch around Ottawa.
We had a couple of traditional meals for breakfast including eggs benedict and a traditional breakfast. The traditional breakfast came with pork belly that was quite good and a homemade sausage that was spiced interestingly, but was a little bit dry unfortunately. The portion sizes were quite big and my wife was impressed with the fruit and cheese platter that came before.
Breakfast for 4 including a couple of drinks and a big tip was $250.
As nice as the scenery was I don't think that it was really worth double the price of brunch anywhere else. Maybe next time we'll just pack a sandwich and walk around the area for free and still enjoy the sights.
