More than 2 hours to get our plates!!! We were 7 people. We had a reservation and arrived at 6:30 p.m., and it was after 8:30 p.m. when we finally got our plates. No explanation, no follow-up from our waitress, just a small basket of bread at one point. That said, once we arrived, the dishes were all very good. But overall the experience was really ordinary. The endless waiting and the lack of proactivity from the staff to manage the situation spoils all the fun.

A first time for me. The food was excellent, although a little expensive. Warm service with Mélissa, who was able to advise us well.

Unique cuisine in Quebec in a warm atmosphere. Unfortunately a little expensive, but the experience is worth the detour.

2nd try after re-opening and very disappointed. The first for lunch and the second for supper. In both cases, no one answers the phone to make a reservation and once there, no one at reception, we have to enter the restaurant and try to find someone to assign us a table.
Once at the table a waiter who is too insistent in selling his gallows. Perhaps I should have listened to him, my salmon tartare was too salty, perhaps due to the fact that there were too many capers and not spicy at all. Served with soft fries and Kraft ketchup and mayo, at $40 a tartare, I expected more.
Too bad the restaurant is super beautiful.

This was my second time since opening, and unfortunately once again a disappointment. The first time it was not yet ready given the opening (it was also for our 10th anniversary), so I said to myself a year and a half later everything must be correct, because before it was my restaurant predilection... but... I'm really unlucky, because yes the meals are excellent... but when I had just ordered all my dishes separately ($$$).. I hear the table next to me talking duck breast etc. I don't understand because I hadn't seen that in the menu.... I asked the waitress... ultimately she didn't give us the table d'hôte menu saying that there wasn't one when we were arrived (yet we were among the first... and leaving when the restaurant was more crowded... there were several at the reception) so I was greatly disappointed a second time. In addition, the table next door seemed not to know what to choose from the table d'hôte menu... even though it looked really good... In short, I don't know if I'm going to go back there. .because I admit that it's really sad... I was expecting compensation for the mistake or something... but no. a simple sorry. She could have brought it to us when she realized her mistake.

Lunch today (Dec. 28, 2024) was very ordinary, poached eggs arrived in hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes and green salad from the Burger which seemed to have been in the fridge for a week, frozen French fries, insufficient fruit and not fresh... in short, it It was a first time and a last time for the 4 of us, none of our 4 dishes were good. VERY POOR VALUE, really disappointing.
The server was, however, smiling.

Nous avons adorée notre expérience :). Super bon.

We went there on a Saturday for dinner. We were 2 adults and 2 children the bill was $320.

This was our first experience and the menu was not explained to us.

The services were served with a huge gap in between. The dishes were placed carelessly on the table. No butter with the bread and no glass of water.

We arrived at 6:30 p.m. and left at 9:45 p.m.

When paying, the waiter placed himself above the interact machine to ensure the amount of the drink and to apply pressure. He got 20%.

I noticed that the other guests had not been served in this manner. Perhaps it was because we were with our children.

The food is excellent in every way, but unfortunately we won't be returning. There is no shortage of choice in this region.

Kid-friendliness: Bad service all round

Eleven years ago in 2013, Sagamité was a nondescript neighborhood diner. We were tourists in Québec and we just had our first taste of "wapiti" (elk) meat from their kitchen. It was served as burgers. Back in Québec this time (2024), we tried to revisit some sites/sights. After a trip to the Wendat Museum, we tried to look for Sagamité. Lo and behold! We were greeted by an obviously revamped restaurant. Looking more upscale than ever, even the menu has changed. No more wapiti burgers! Instead, they have their meats and other dishes plated and served quite beautifully! They really did a remarkable number on that corner diner! The interior of this new Sagamité was really nice, airy, clean, and it "spoke" to us (customers) about the great Wendat culture. Surprisingly, our server, the affable "Robert," revealed that he had already been with Sagamité when we first dined there all those years ago. He and the establishment had obviously carried so much history together. The service was wonderful, and the food was excellent. If we ever go back to Québec a third time, Sagamité would definitely be on our must-do list again. It in itself was an exceptional experience. As an added bonus, after our hearty meal, we were able to revisit Kabir-Kouba Falls, which, as Robert said, was almost literally a stone's throw away from the parking lot of the restaurant.//
