Excellent breakfast/lunch deli & coffee shop type spot in town. Consistent, well run, friendly, very good food. Sandwiches, salads, grab & go prepared items, homemade daily specials, and coffee are all great. Some vegan options, but more would be really nice. Don't be scared away by any line; they get busy during the week at lunch time, but they're very efficient and get orders out quickly. Unfortunately no online ordering is available, but you can call in orders.

I planned my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower in the Blue Kangaroo event room and it was amazing! Guests are still talking about the food! The space was the perfect size. One thing about the Kangaroo is the portions are HUGE and the food is DELICIOUS!!! The owners and staff are super helpful and work with you to make your event perfect! Do not hesitate if you need to plan a event. Choose the Blue Kangaroo!!!

The line gets crowded quickly, small place. To avoid the staff becoming frustrated with you, make sure to:
1) Pick your menu items quickly and
2) pick drinks quickly, and if they are from fridge take drinks with you to final register
If you do not do this, you may be called out in public by folks at register, and it can be a little embarrassing.
Check menu online and know what you want before you go and you should have a good experience!

Good food, among probably one of the best places to eat in Barrington, definitely the best sandwich in Barrington.. only complaint would be that over the years I have noticed that the portion sizes on the sandwich has gone down, the sandwich used to be pretty big now I have noticed that the meat portion has been rather skimpy, still a really good sandwich though.
