The worse ice cream experience. Brought my little kids for some Newport creamery! We haven’t had any in years since we normally go to riverside ice cream, but figured since we went to the beach, it’d be a great idea. Well, it took forever and a huge line formed while we waited with my two little children. They saw the picture of the Cookie Monster and wanted one each. So I requested a small one from a somewhat rude guy who said they don’t do smalls in that, or buy one get one , I said ok, we’ll take two and one awful awful for me. I whatch the gentleman make it, and put a cover in it. My children deflated, I mentioned how it doesn’t look anything like the picture, no cookie? Whip cream ? Big eyes? Nothing. He said they can’t make them like that because it falls apart. I mentioned how I’m paying $25 for something I’m not getting. He just walked away. Meanwhile they give a nice Sunday with toppings to the guests before me, they left happy. No one said anything to me, no apology, no words, nothing. Just left me standing there. A girl customer with the Sundae mentioned how hers was a sundae and that’s why it looked like that. I got pretty upset that a customer is now defending this behavior and I’m there with my two little kids in front of over a dozen other costumers. A girl worker says nothing, removed the lids, popped two cookies on top of the cups, put the whip cream and two eyes on the top. Done. Simple, no issues. Why not just do that when requested? I was humiliated and felt bad for my kids. And btw, my mint chip Awful Awful was terrible! Just milk, no ice cream. Called the gM to complain, apparently they have been having issues and they are working them out. She offered refunds and was very nice. If you want to get shamed with your children by staff and some privileged customers you’ll enjoy it here.

Joe Carmone made my awful awful and it was absolutely fantastic. The care and expertise he put into this splendid dessert was clear in the flavor. I told him to “go wild” and he definitely didn’t hold back. I could not decide for myself and he’s truly a genius when it comes the design of an awful awful.

i came in on tuesday night to get some food with my friends around 9.00 are server basically told us we can’t get any milkshakes because they were closed she jumped all around the restaurant after we said we were gonna do some ice cream she brought us are ice cream sundaes as they were melting all over the place i asked for napkins and she never came back over she finally came over and said just the check we said no can we get some waters took about 15 mins at this point it’s already almost 930 we never got are waters or napkins then she brings the bill over . we asked can we get separate checks she said my manager said that we couldn’t. we ended up leaving no tip because the service was terrible. As we were leaving she jumps up in the air and says goodbye . not a great time last night .

my friends and I were hanging out and decided to go to Newport creamery an hour before it closed. I felt a little bad because there was only an hour before closing, but I planned on leaving a tip and being out of there as soon as possible to not inconvenience the young workers there. we got there, and the first thing they asked us was if we planned on ordering any food. we said no because we had planned on only getting awful awful, and I think my friend wanted a grilled cheese. when our waitress came over, she asked us if we were ordering any food because at that point, they were only serving mozzarella sticks and French fries. so, my friend who was going to order a grilled cheese just got mozzarella sticks instead. then, our waitress came over at like 9:30 (they close at 10 and we got there at 9) and asked what we were ordering. everyone got a water except for my friend and I, we said we were ordering awful awful. our waitress said she'd go check if she was still serving them (I don't know why she wouldn't be) and then came back and said they were. so, I ordered a Nutella one, and my friend ordered a chocolate one. waitress came back 15 minutes later, it's like, 9:50 at this point, and says they don't have any Nutella. seriously? so, I just replace it with a chocolate one. she finally comes with our awful awful. and my friend's mozzarella sticks that she ordered almost half an hour ago. I take a sip of my awful awful, and so does my friend, and our supposed-to-be chocolate awful awful is vanilla. I give her my card because I don't have time to wait for the check, and then I get my receipt back, and I don't leave a tip. I mean, seriously? I know there were like 10 of us in there, but we ordered 3 things! and it took a whole hour! it could have taken 15 minutes! I work at a place where I serve milkshakes, and I know it does not take a whole hour to make them. and I asked for a chocolate one! not a vanilla one! I signed, wrote sorry on the check, and as we all walked out, we saw through the window our waitress jumps across all of the booths to the other side of the building to show her coworker that I didn't leave a tip. she threw her hands up, being extremely dramatic as if she did nothing wrong. with the HUGE glass window right there! I guess don't go here an hour before closing, even if you only want an awful awful.

I got the farmhouse burger it was delicious my server's name was Jessica she was very personable and gave me and my family a great experience for our first time at Newport Creamery and are banana split gave us a five-star experience
